Astarte Invocation-Meditation (for Beginners)

Hi EVERYONE,

I thought it would be a nice idea and also helps some of you to connect with Astarte,
so here is a simple meditation that I do to invoke her.

  1. close your eyes and observe your breath.
  2. let you breath pull you inside yourself
  3. feel your energy body slightly above your skin
  4. merge with your energy body
  5. expand yourself to a sphere.
  6. be that sphere
  7. call out Astartes name 3 times in your mind or out loud
  8. say out loud or in your mind “Astarte, great Goddess, come to. Astarte I invoke you. Astarte merge with me”
  9. Imagine the sphere you have just become turn into red mist. know that it is Astarte’s energy that is flowing through you and all around you, breath her in.
  10. now just be her energy - let her change your energy. bathe in it.
  11. When you feel ready thank Astarte for coming. You may or may not dismiss her.

I personally carry her energy with me as long as possible as this is my goal for this meditation.

Your perception will change depending how often you do this meditation.
You might feel very empowered directly after it. It is quite simple but very effective.

Hope that helps some of you.

Cheers, Hailie

Thank you that is helpful, I done it a slightly different way evoking not invoke. As it’s my first time with her…I got a very warm comfortable tingling feeling especially in my arms, hands and face.

Happy to hear that. In my opinion u can not evoke without invoking as well…cause the energy must work through u. However… sounds like it worked perfect :))

Thank you, I appreciate…I’ve heard of making contracts with them…have you ever heard of that?

You mean a pact?

Yes, how do you do that?

Hey,
yes but it is nothing I would recommend for beginners. I have a pact with angel my mentor did for me and it is my first pact after 3 years. it took that long till I felt confident enough to stick to the agreement. Don’t run before u can walk

haven’t been on in a while, yes that is what I mean

much appreciated

I didnt know you could wait that long for a pact. So if it is not reccomended to pact for us novices, then how would we form a relationship with the spirits?

Thanks!

You would evoke the spirit and work with it.

why is a pact with her not recommended??

it’s not that a pact with her isn’t recommended, it’s that a pact for ANY newbie isn’t recommended,

This is because you just don’t need one yet, and usually haven’t had the time to build skills to understand and control it, ensure you don’t get impostors, and really get the lay of the land to know if/what/who/when you really want to pact with anyway, if any.

Lots of people new to magick are laboring under the false assumption that you need a pact to work with an entity, and that’s not the case. You can work with hundreds of entities and never make a pact ever. So it’s a good idea to get a foundation of magickal practice set up before jumping into something that serious.

I understand, thank you for such a long answer, I would like to know where I can learn more about Astarte?? any books about working with her, what she likes, etc. how to start working with her. Thank you in advance for your answer

I would recommend reading all you can find about her historically then moving to modern interpretations (such as the conversations had on here about here, which you can find using the magnifying glass icon at top right).

She is also the goddess Inanna (Sumerian-language version of the name, Astarte is the Canaanite/Phoenician version), sister of Ereshkigal in the Sumerian pantheon and the Assyrians called her Ishtar, so there’s more (much overlapping) under those names as well.

On YouTube there is a 4-5,0000 year old prayer/evocation to Innana. It is song in Sumerian and the musician uses a historical instrument.
