Title. I saw an interesting youtube video on this and I haven’t seen any other posts on this. The video was basically saying that demons are not fallen angels and are the disembodied spirits of former living Nephilim. So when you kill the body of them, the spirit goes out and becomes a wandering spirit looking for a body to possess.
“The fallen angels in 1 Enoch rebelled against God to marry with human women, and their progeny were the giants who had divine souls in bodies of flesh. God executed judgment on the wicked angels and their offspring; the archangels rounded up the fallen angels and bound them in an abyss underground, while the giants perished in the great Flood. However, though they drowned, their souls endured and became homeless when their bodies died, and so they seek new bodies to inhabit, and they continue their evil work in enticing humans to sin (1 Enoch 15:8-12, 16:1, 89:6, Jubilees 7:21-25, 10:1-11).”
I personalty think that “demons” is such an ambiguous word that get spread around thickly for every type of entity that isn’t either an Angel or a Saint, it’s pretty sure anything you care to name that isn’t on the celebrity JCI A list is automatically a “demon” to some, so sure, why not?
Supposing Nephilim was a real thing that could be defined as “physically incarnate higher beings, whose physical parentage was half human half angel”… then
a) being a nephilim isn’t a type of being, it was something those incarnates were experiencing being and
b) there were nowhere near enough nephilim to make up the amount of “demons” in existence
In which case, making a sweeping generalization that all demons are nephilim is ill considered.

(There could have been anything, there’s all sorts of far, djinn, cryptids, ghosts and spirits on earth but these guys also hyper-focused on nephilim for some reason.)
