No, antichrist is a specific term used only by John the Apostle to refer to the early Christian heterodox believers who were teaching probably an early form of docetism, the belief that Jesus only appeared to have the body, but didn’t; as well as apostates, those who left the faith. Jesus couldn’t fulfill any of these qualifications, and so couldn’t be an antichrist.

Thanks for that. Interesting. I was not aware that some of the great minds of ancient Greece figured out that the earth was a sphere, although the “knowers of truth” so to speak were definitely in the minority and would remain so for a number of centuries.

I think there is no such thing as a chosen country. I mean what makes a specific geographical area on a map more important than another? I could go further but discussing politics is against forum rules.

From what I understand, He chose one nation in order to bless the whole world and all creation eventually. It had to start somewhere. However, there may have been other nations that were chosen in other parts of the world that the Jews were unaware of. Just as the possibility that there are other “Earths” out there that are more advanced, where he would have died for as well. Anything’s possible honestly. All things glorify God in the end.
