Unfortunately, this is not my idea, but proven by many renowned occultists.
Good for them? UPG is UPG. I won’t tell others what to think, but they don’t get to tell me what to think either. I’m not a fan of just following the herd. That’s a logical fallacy.
Aleister Crowley also said the same thing as I mentioned above, and he was said to be one of the greatest magicians of all time. If you are a god, then you can do whatever you want with your thoughts.
But you see, you’re appealing to an “authority” that I do not recognize. That is the fallacy I’m referring to, the “fallacy of authority”.
If all these mages told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it? No. If you see what I mean. you agree with them, and that’s the material point. Fuck Crowley he was a syphilitic druggie that butt raped men and I give zero shits what he thought. He said some interesting things and he said a lot of crap. He was a mixed bag like the rest of us and deserves no pedestal.
I would say, think for yourself, and stand up for your beliefs on your OWN authority, no one else’s.
With your thought, but it’s pretty obvious yours are not the only god thoughts around. “Man is not an island entire of himself.” - Dunne.
So either, you’re the only god in a lonely universe and you’re just very crap at controlling yourself, or, t this level of being, you have to negotiate and interact with the other gods.
If you get to the level of Samsara or the tao, you don’t care about the minutiae, you HAVE to get involved at the human level, and so you must negotiate with yourself in all your individuated aspects and the result is the same.
I agree he was a drug addict etc but he was more intelligent than everyone in HOGD
We have to realize that without this guy, this portal wouldn’t exist today.
Well, actually under this model - Crowley IS us and we are him, and we are each other. We just see things differently from different vantage points.
I think both are right, and it’s a case of the blind men trying to describe an elephant by only getting hold of parts of it. We are all parts of the same universe, but we can’t function as individuals that way. I don’t think the tao can be aware as we are aware, it’s a different experience… The purpose of individuation is experience imo. So we’re supposed to see things differently as that’s part of rounding out the self-learning the universe is trying to achieve.
To make no mistake, I work independently, I’m not interested in group collaboration.
I don’t care what others think, I know what I think.
