... working with the Dark Mother Demeter

Anyone here working with her? How is she like? Are there any sigils, enns or rituals?

I’m had experiences with Demeter but nothing of a Dark mother. More of a earth mother if anything.

Yeah, this is one of these new fluff things with the Draconian people. Everything is dark and chaotic. Not as if she’s a Greek goddess at all, nope, everything is connected to the Qliphoth to them, even Atlantis. :man_facepalming:

Ah yeah I notice that, I thought it was a weird LHP fetish to paint everything as a dark mother, dark father, dark prince and princess etc. I’m not sure there is an enn for Demeter, but she does have some symbolism for contact I believe outside of projection anyway.

There’s an Orphic Hymn to Demeter though:

Hey Rav,

check out what you can on the Elusinian mysteries. knowledge is scant, but participants were said to undergo transformation that eliminated their fear of death. Its an interesting topic regarding Demeter. Based on her mythology, the famine (winter) she brought until persephone was returned, i do consider she has ā€œdarkā€ aspects worth consideration.

She doesnt have an enn or sigil that im aware of - not traditionally as a Greek goddess.

Also, keep mint away from any place you engage with her. Mint is supposedly one of the good king from belows lovers and she didnt care for her on account of her daughter. Keep mint away from persephone also. Just out of respect.

I find Demeter interesting so definitively i am very interested to contact her later

She’s mostly yelling when I encounter her she’s very possessive too with everything she thinks that belongs to her.
3/10, wouldn’t recommend, unless you didn’t got yelled at enought from your mom so you want to live this experience.

Go the traditional pagan root with demeter look up her mythology and getting in touch with the cycles of nature and the seasons. Offerings of fruit, bread and wine. Thing associated with nature and weather are good to place on the altar.

Go figure.

Possessive narcissist mother.

Of course I I’m sure Olympus doesn’t have as much hold as they did in ancient times.

I heard Ares had a war against Olympus and won, forcing Zeus to seal the veil of mount Olympus and the mortal world, and to never interact with the mortal world again.

Not sure if it’s true or not

Thats The Movie Wrath Of The Titans. No Baring On Actual Hellenic Practices.

So why the hell did they stop publicly interacting?

I mean if there such pricks why’d they let there worship dwindle to towns and small cults?

Wait… could it be about the Yahweh stuff I hear on this forum?

The Greeks were converted to Christianity.

It is not true.

All indigenous deities from all over the world never left neither they stopped interacting with mortals. It’s the humans who have shifted their mindsets, not the other way around.

I don’t see anything odd in that statement, in every religion since the ancient times there were always ā€œsmall cultsā€ (of great importance but available only for the selected few), and it’s actually very normal that each town has its own matron/patron god or goddess.

That last one is actually a practice still in effect in modern Greece, but instead of ancient gods now the names are replaced with certain christian saints.

It all comes down to your personal beliefs. You can honor your local deity (or your local saint if you’re a christian) and at the same time honor your personal matron/patron or/and the entire pantheon. It is not an act under hubris to be considered forbidden.

I can see the ā€œdarkā€ connotations with Demeter, for during the times of the year when Persephone is with Hades. She became rather baneful, if the legends are anything to go off of.
