The awakening pantheon I don’t think is so much about all polytheistic religions, but more about the ones who even modern pagans don’t work with. The gods before the time of Sumeria, Egypt, Greece, etc. the ones that were forgotten but are starting to make themselves known. The gods before the gods so to speak, each culture has talked about them. The Titans, the Femorians, Tiamat and the Ancient Ones, etc. Just a thought.
The way Belial said it, and my whole “becoming a god” thing, makes me think he is referring to gods literally being made in this time period.
