Not liars but many places in the world have similar stories as people travel around tales often find common alignments. I don’t agree with the whole “they were bored hurhur” but more or so it’s part of their culture and it became such because that’s how they came to explain “mysterious” things that they couldn’t comprehend or they themselves were too scared to look into.
