Who is Thoth

Thoth is himself, there’s no other masks, he’s not Odin, he’s not Hermes, most people like to fuse Gods who have no connection besides common roles in their respective pantheons. Thoth is a Primordial God, Hermes is a Olympian God, Odin is a half Jotun/half Aesir God.

My advice is don’t try and force masks on a God, talk to them them as they are i.e talk to Thoth as Thoth, otherwise believing the masks people force on them will only get you as far as playing with a being whose going to claim both to bullshit you or a thoughtform you or someone else manifested thinking it’s both.

I don’t agree with that completely but you do make a valid point here. Each time you want to work with a spirit, you actually need to work with that spirit as it is. I do support the claim that Hermes and Thoth are the same, but that doesn’t mean that each of them isn’t a being of its own. In other words, when I summon Thoth, I call him Thoth and his energy does feel a bit different than other aspects of him. Actually, even has different specialties too.

Thoth helps me through philosophical means. When I was being shown all these glyphs in my minds eye. He told me that he could not give me to answer to what they mean but he could help me find the answer

Yeah, he’s like that. He doesn’t want to give you the answer to just one problem, he wants to give you the way of thinking, so that you will be able to solve that problem and any other problem similar to that one.
