Who is Thoth

What other masks does he wear. What is his general history? What is his first name known to our species? What are your experiences with him? After contemplation of this Enki comes to mind.

Mercury, Hermes, Odin per Crowley and Regardie.

He showed me where I lived before I incarnated into this current life and also when I entered my body upon conception (which was kind of gross) he doesn’t have a bird head all the time. He normally looks human.

Thoth is a mask of Odin said my Crowley? I’m not familiar with Crowley that much. What does he base this on?

Enki … Interesting. Scribe of the gods, was the author of the emerald tablet, a call to alchemy, which somehow got connected to Divine Pymander, Thoth depicted on the front, but about Hermes. Perhaps they’re merged. Libre Israfel.

To my understanding, the oldest name for Thoth was the ancient Sumerian God know as Ningizzida.

That makes sense. I have also read that Thoth was one of the Annunaki that were here for a very long time, setting up humanity…that he also became known as Hermes, and later still became known as Odin, who is also the basis for many similarly depicted old saints found around Europe.

The FOOL card, especially the older decks, has a depiction of a wanderer who has a sore on his leg and who has a dog helper that brings him food. This image is based on the ancient God Odin the wanderer…it is well known that the images in the tarot are based on old Gods…

What’s the foundation behind the claim?

So in comparing Thoth and Ningishzidda, I found some good similarities!

Ningishzidda translates to ā€œLord if the Good Treeā€ and is associated with the symbolism of the serpent, one of which being the twin serpents, representing knowledge. The Good Tree, serpent, and knowledge, sounds like the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil story in the book of genesis.

Now to Thoth, we all know he is the God of Knowledge, in the Egyptian mythology, he was seen as the moderator between the forces of good and evil, and has a connection to morality. In one ancient depiction of him, he is shown holding a staff with a twin serpent.

To tie all this together, they are both tied to the symbolism of the twin serpents, by default implying knowledge, and as Thoth is the mediator between good and evil, and tied to morality, Ninghzidda is the Lord of The Good Tree, which could easily be seen as the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil from Genesis.

While I see the similarities, it states he’s a good of the underworld and vegetation.

That’s true, but different cultures can view the same entity with emphasis on different attributes, still maintaining the core essence and symbolism of said entity from culture to culture.

That makes a lot of sense. I recall him healing someone after a battle with Set in order to make sure one side didn’t win. Not sure but I think it was isis and set?

I feel like that’s one of the reasons the symbol for medicine is the twin serpents. I see a lot of symbolism in our modern society that is connected to ancient Gods.

It’s really interesting how all of these spiritual symbols are seen throughout society. The native Americans even had a system similar to chakras. Instead of Sanskrit symbols, they used certain animals to represent pretty much the same thing. Is this why @Lady_Eva believes culture was influenced by spirits? This concept is otherwise known as the collective unconscious. It’s very interesting shit.

In Star Trek, I think that Toth is the Klingon word for human.

Human, man… means ā€œto thinkā€. Makes sense, you’re saying this in relation to the above post ^?

I never knew that before about Native American Spirituality!

It honestly wouldn’t surprise me, you look deep enough, and you find out everything has some level of connection to the spiritual realms, right down to our currency system, and it’s not what you might initially think!

Thoth was once a human, the last king of Atlantis. He was a seeker of kbowledge and one of the most powerful magicians the Earth has ever seen. He created a lot of wonders throughout the ancient world to keep the energy of the planet at balance. When no other choice was given, Thoth asked someone to make the polar shift to happen and to make humans fall from their godly selves. When Atlantis fell, he went to Egypt with some others though they expanded to Cyprus and Greece too. While others went beneath the Earth to the kingdom of Agartha. When Thoth was ready, he went to the halls of Amenti where he became a god (final ascension). Before going though, he created his 12 emerald tablets that hold many secrets and those who read them gain imerse power.

Even before he becomes a king, Thoth wanted to gain as much knowledge as he could. He astral traveled to far away planets and saw things and he brought the knowledge back to Atlantis. He made the world great back then.

He came back as Hermes Trismegistus where he created another emerald tablet for alchemy and he was again a powerful wizard.

Back then, he assigned his son Kek to protect the wonders he created so that the energy of the Earth could be balanced. Kek made the Kek brotherhood, they were guardians and it still exists today, though they’re not protecting them all because they no longer can and I don’t know if they have been corrupted over the years or not.

EDIT: I forgot to say that some Atlanteans head to America too. But the numbers of all survivors was still small. In the places they went they found humans and guided them to greatness (Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Greek, Maya, etc.)
