I did a tarot reading on someone and they got the card nine of coins reversed (I’m using the Rider Waite deck)

In the same breath, I wrote out a petition to Lucifer for the same person and I basically requested all money sources to die…
Which one should I go by: the tarot or the granted petition?
9 Pentacles reversed doesn’t usually mean financial ruin, more that either the person is liable to overspend no matter how much they have or more commonly still that wealth is incapable of making them happy with the state of other matters in their lives being the way they are.
