What is a fallen angel?

Lucifer is said to be a demon but also said to be an angel. Some calls him a fallen angel. What does it really means? Does it mean that Lucifer have equal power as archangels? If I gain protection from Lucifer would I be completely untouched?

A “fallen” angel, in the JCI current, refers to any angel that rebelled against God, and was thus cast out of Heaven.

Iblis, in the Qur’an, for example, gained power by disobeying when commanded by Allah to bow before Adam and was expelled from Heaven, but he is still considered to be an archangel. He was later given permission by Allah to be a tempter of humans to stray from the path of righteousness but he is still devoted to Allah. He is fallen only because he was cast out of Heaven, and could be forgiven by Allah at any time.

Azazel was a leader of the Watchers, a group of archangels whose job was to oversee humanity, but not interfere. However, their voyeuristic assignment filled them with lust for human women, so they disobeyed their instructions, had their way with the ladies, impregnating them, and giving rise to the Nephilim, often referred to as"giants," and men of renown, basically the Judaic equivalent of the Greek demigods. So God sent the archangel Raphael to lock Azazel in chains and cast him into darkness, and then God flooded the world to drown all the offspring.

Lucifer is a more difficult being to categorise because he is most often confused with Satan, the Christian created boogeyman.

Lucifer’s Christian mythology, however, is similar to that of the Islamic Iblis. He was prideful, and considered himself to be second to none, so when God created humans and fawned over them, he got miffed and led a revolt against God, thinking humans not worthy of God’s admiration. He lost the fight, and as a result was cast out of Heaven along with his cadre of other angels, becoming “fallen.” He would still be considered an archangel though.

What makes him difficult to categorise is the fact that, before Christianity tied him to their devil, Lucifer was actually a lesser known Roman god, the son of the goddess Aurora, who was the personification of the dawn. He himself was the personification of the planet Venus in its iteration as the morning star. Lucifer is the Latin version of the Greek Phosphoros, meaning “light-bringer.”

A fallen Angel is just an Angel who no longer resides within their origin/home either by choice or by banishment. Nothing more nothing less.

You will not be untouchable with Lucifer protecting you, while he is powerful, there are beings more powerful than him

@anon48079295 explained it easy what it means to be a fallen angel

Who is more powerful?

Can lesser gods like Lucifer in roman mythology be compared equally with archangels?

More powerful than Lucifer?

Ra possibly

Kali and many other Hindu gods possibly

Possibly Yahweh and maybe the Archangels

What is the reason then people use Lucifer for protection?

Because he can protect you, he’s strong, he has protected me many times

But if there are spirits more powerful?

And?

He can still help you and protect you, he’s powerful too

Spirituality is not about finding the most powerful spirit my guy. You are missing the point.

But if you want a more powerful spirit to protect you, meditate on Shiva or Kali

There is a school of thought that while our history is interesting, there were battles in the heavens that occurred. Three levels of heavens may included the lower and upper firmaments and the area of space. Keep in mind dimensions as well intersecting at every point. Starting from an idle state picking up energy. Some are saying Goetia and seals in general may be paraphrased somewhat science fiction.
What if were just the new kids on the block?
Fallen angels could then be said to be like people in shows such as star trek, twilight zone, battlestar galactica, smurfs, he man, etc.

Exactly, it’s about forming relationships and growing spiritually, if you seek power, Lucifer and many other can grant you it if they wish, but seeking power is the ego talking

The Lucifer in Roman mythology isn’t a lesser God nor is he tied to this Lucifer the Roman God is the Roman version of a Titan god.

However, powerful doesn’t work that way it’s not black and white. Although, if you want to go by such a scaling than no the Angel Lucifer would not be capable of harming a Titan God.
