I work as a Jeweler, and have made talismans in the “proper” ways. I also have several stainless steel rings laser engraved with the pentacles of Venus that I consecrated using Aphrodite, paper versions, wax, crystal etc.
Through my various experimentations I have discovered that the pentacles don’t need to be made of a certain material, they don’t need planetary correspondence, time of day etc.
What really matters is entering the current the pentacle lives in. How you do that is up to you.
My stainless steel rings work the best and I went totally left field in my preparation and consecration, but all I really did was use a different route to get to the same energies.
It’s quite easy to get mired in timing, tools, and ingredients. None of which are necessary for quality Magick. The best method I actually know of is to draw the pentacle into your fields and carry it around energetically.
