Thoughts and observations from my Draconian practice

  1. I’ve been thinking that Tiamat, womb of creation (as described by Asenath Mason in Draconian Ritual Book), is the female counterpart to the divine light that EA teaches in Evoking Eternity, where he describes it as “the light of creation.” (p61) Light penetrates darkness. Male is the force of creation; female receives and manifests it.

    I have been filling myself with Tiamat’s energy a lot, and feeling a small inner suggestion to balance chaos with order. In the Tiamat story, Markuk and friends brought order by carving her up, so Marduk is a source of order that I chose to avoid. lol

    On a different night I happened to be thinking about my very cool experiences with EA’s omnipotence meditation, and I decided to include it in my daily nightly rituals, without clearing either the light of creation (p64), or the Draconian energy at the end.

    As I began to feel more balanced, the idea that they’re related slowly came to me, but I thought it probably wasn’t the case, coming from much different sources. But the idea persisted and matured, and I’ve begun to accept the relationship.

  2. Most disciplines have banishing rituals specific to the discipline, but I have not seen any banishings in Draconian magick, so far. I did an internet search, and nuthin’.

    Each banishing is made to be effective with the energies that are employed in the discipline, like the classic LBRP in the systems that see the god of Abraham as the authority. If a nasty sneaks into my ritual, commanding it in Tiamat’s name feels … nauseatingly Abrahamic. Besides, she’s not an entity, but a current. Maybe I should command it outright, then, having absorbed and integrated the most basic and raw energies available.

    The “Draconian Opening” looks a lot like a banishing/protection scheme, with entities in the six directions. Any thoughts on this, anyone?

    I have the Sphere of Hekas, by Jason Miller, inspired by various revelations from Hekate. Being that Hekate is an important entity in this flavor of Draconian magick, perhaps that’s all I need.

    Odd, though, that there’s no banishing specific to the Draconian Current that I could find.

  3. Since including the omnipotence meditation with the Draconian energy, I’ve had an occasion to use green heart chakra energy to help a cat that wasn’t feeling well.

    In the past, this required about 3-5 minutes of seeing green light flowing like warm honey into the cat, and then hours for the cat to show recovery. This time my heart chakra became instantly hot. It startled me; I never felt any sensation before. In response, I concluded the energy flow in about 10 seconds. The results were way better than when I previously went for 5 minutes. This was just a one-off, so maybe something else is the reason, like improved skill from use. I’ll update when I have more data.

  4. Doing something magickal every night has made a bigger difference in my results than everything I have done previous to that decision, put together. I can’t even say out loud, to myself, the things I’ve seen and done, because they sound too ridiculous. Trying to imagine where this is going makes my head spin.
