I went out on the deck for a smoke and looked at the patio table.
The snow on the table was divided perfectly geometrically into four quarters like a pentacle, into the four directions. In the middle was a pentagram, apex down, towards the east.
Along the outer circle were ten lines in each quarter, and eleven holes on the outer ring per quarter.
