I think the wrap-up for the signs should’ve been done four days ago. I’m moving on to Lesson 2, and will try to update sooner and at once.
One last note on Signs - Dual Rulership
The ancients who could classify behavior of individuals in certain groups, could easily prattle off pros and cons of a person or would take it upon themselves to yay or nay a person for a position for the ruler of the area.
At the same time, maps of the stars were being developed and they came up with classes for the group’s based on arrangements of the stars and their effect on a given month.
Eventually they had advanced astrology as a science dueto the lack of knowledge of astronomy. Eventually the table of science turned, and astrology became more of a subjective science and a lesser s ience but greater art as it tied into what would become psychology.
But the knowledge and prediction of more and more planets were kept as a side conversation between the astronomers and astrologers … But a problem surfaced.
A few signs were attributed to the luminaries, Leo and Cancer, Sun and Moon. As for the rest, some did not fit into Planets and thus were born co-rulers of the signs.
Earth .. possibly Taurus. The jury is still out.
Mercury - Gemini, Virgo
Venus - Taurus, Libra
Mars - Aries, Scorpio
Jupiter - Sagittarius, Pisces
Saturn - Capricorn, Pisces
Sun - Leo
Moon - Cancer
Then there were three … three large stars were eventually discovered as planets, Neptune, Pluto, and Uranus.
To Neptune went Pisces. To Pluto went Scorpio, and to Uranus was to be determined.
Cauda Draconis, the North node of the Moon, and Caput Draconis, the south node, were discovered to have Uranus and Neptune behavior.
Onto the planets.
