I don’t know man. I checked it out. It’s hard for me to discern if this is bullshit or not.
As far as Vampyrism goes…I kinda like what A.W. Dray is doing (Dark harvest books)…it seems more authentic
Thanks Mode. I’ll check it out.
I’ve read the Sanguinomicon and didn’t find much value in it. A lot ad introductory material and a lot of smoke blown up my ass. Just my opinion though. It stated several times that to get the real “secrets” you had to be a member of his Order, which is by invitation only. As for me, I don’t really care to learn these “secret” teachings if that’s the case. Most of the book was filler to begin with.

I own a copy of the Mausoleum Edition (eBay). The book is fucking beautiful and extremely dangerous…like my last betty I went out with!
For real however, this is some really heavy shit…I myself will NEVER get rid of this Holy Book. The techniques are just down-right BLACK…no daylight found anywhere in tome!
I strongly suggest it.
Awesome! Thanks you guys!
I was recently reading the Ardeth book.
What does anyone on the Vampire Path think of it?
Are the Ardetha real? The book claims that certain historical figures were Ardetha.
I’ve never heard of Ardetha? Can you define, please?
It is a book mentioned on this forum over a year ago
Most of it is on google books, a few pages omitted.
“Ardeth” looks the only serious book in the “vampyre” production. When I use the “Y” , I’m talking about the phenomena born in NY, with all the fangs, clothes, music and “tribes”. I look several of there books, most things inside looks more a Role Playing Game with some occult notion, about feedings for exemple, but nothing really deep as you can found in the Temple of Blood books or in “Working with the Darkness”.
Ardeth is a different stuff. There point of view (courant/against the courant) was a new notion to me, and I never seen vampirism related to Grand Duke Bimé as presented in the book, but most of the exercices on lifeforce are quite effectives.
Dont bother with the Sanguinomicon. It doesnt teach much actual magic, you have to sift through pages upon pages of dogma and bullshit in fancy words to find anything of value. All it really does is prune you to become another one Father Sebastians show “vampyres”.
If you want to read a book on vampirism thats straight to the point and teaches tecniques, i recommend Michelle Belangers book.
Mode I have started reading Nox. Good stuff! Cannot wait to finish this gem! Thx for the good advice. BTW off topic. What did you think of Pomba Gira by Nich? I was thinking of picking up a copy from Weiser Antiquarian. His book Exu looks good also!
He IS THE man!!! Dr. Frisvold is fucking amazing!!!
This book started me on my path 4 years ago into the occult so my opinion is biased in favor of this book.
It is a basic overview of all basic occult teachings and gives introductory exercises into becoming a disciplined vampyre magickian. It taught me the basics of ambient feeding and about the energy bodies.
Definitely worth at least one read.
The other books by Father Sebastiaan are more helpful as well.

I like how you said “show vampyres.” I like this book only because it started me on the path to magick and was a Strigoi Viu for awhile. I agree with you that it is pure Sebastiaan dogma. I always hear people speaking in favor of Seb and the Strigoi Vii so it was really refreshing for you to just cut it down like that.
