If Brian Whatzizname were to allow me to borrow Mister Hat for a moment, not that such an action would be prudent, we might consider that many popular artists would gladly accept status as teachers of mystical knowledge.
In fact, one might not properly appreciate lyricism without some grasp of an effect that might be described as “psychological convergence”.
I like what this song says on a lot of levels.
The video contains some very questionable imagery, but that’s no accident. I wouldn’t do lots of things Marylin Manson does, and neither would Marylin Manson.
