You mean Qareen?
There’s very little on this forum. Most members here focus more on Western magickal traditions. I only heard the term recently and had to google it.
We have a few posts with that term though if you try the search - but spell it with two ee’s as you’re the only person spelling it with 1 e and you’ll miss results that way. Search results for 'qareen order:latest' - Become A Living God
This is correct based on Wikipedia’s note:
The qareen belongs to the jinn in regards to its ghostly nature, yet distinct from jinn.
Although the qareen can be either a devil or an angel, they are more often associated with malevolent spirits tempting into sin.The idea of a spiritual double accompanying humans might be a remnant of older Near Eastern beliefs, such as the Egypt kꜣ which in turn resembles the Babylonian idea of an undefined personal deity accompanying a person.[4]
It’s not a Jinn but counts as a spirit, basically.
I guess like a friendly fae, similar to a Brownie, Hobgoblin or Pixie - but if it’s a double, that’s more like the Norse Fylgja.
The fylgja is a ghost who associates with (or, for lack of a better word, stalks or shadows) a particular individual,[5] and may be characterized as a “guardian spirit”.[6][1] However, contrary to its name meaning ‘follower’, it generally moves ahead of its host, making a kind of “contact” with the person before they arrive at some key spot.[5] The fylgja will, however, follow a person when they are near death.[7]
