Stargirl's Journal

I think he’s right about the lusting for results part. It’s a form of doubt that attracts and manifests the very thing yo fear. Doubt kills magick stone dead. It’s also called the Law of reverse Effort:

The cake is in the oven and you have to let it bake.

I’ve big issues with self doubt. Not sure what to do… just put it out there in the universe and not think about it?

You do the ritual until you’re too exhausted and have depleted all your emotional energy into the working, and then you assume it worked and forget about it.

Post 12. Taken into account the advice and guidance offered. Doing my best to keep at it. I don’t have much to report yet but I wanted to give some kind of update since it’s been a bit. I’m likely to get some tarot cards soon and practice that. If nothing else seems like it’d be fun! Anyway good night, I’m pleased I found this forum and have gotten to meet you all.

Post 12. I know it’s been a few days! I have been meditating to try and feel spirits better. Nothing yet but I keep trying. Not sure if there are better methods but I keep looking on here. Once I feel more ready I’m not sure if I write another letter of intent or not. For now just pleased to write another journal entry and work to improve myself.

Post 13. If self doubt is something that can ruin magic (or is it magick? Idk the difference) I’m not sure I can do it. I’ve been terribly depressed my entire life and it’s hard to consider myself worthy or capable or anything positive. Can magic be used with such emotions? Can it be fuel or is it just a block? I feel lost, confused, sad. I wish I was like some of you, knowledgeable and confident and capable.

Try some blue lotus to calm down it’s been linked to helping people spiritually and it’s even it a very many forms! Tea, food, oil and you can even smoke it if you want it also comes in incense sticks! :+1:

(Oh and sorry for intruding on your journal)

Meditation might help, too. It’s not going to make you feel happy, but it’s a good tool to recognize your mental state and be less affected by it. It works wonders on motivation: if you can motivate yourself to sit for ten minutes and concentrate on your thoughts, then other stuff becomes easier.

I’ll look into it thank you. And no intrusion at all. I welcome the help.

I’ve been working on that. Meditation is a good tool I agree. Maybe I’m bad at it or doing it wrong lol

Post 14. I’ve been working on meditation and I decided to try breathing exercises, I came across Weil’s method and gave it ago. I think there is something to it because for some reason I broke down in sobs when I finished. I think it could be useful to clear my head with this regularly, then I can center myself a bit better as I try to delve more into what I want.
