“Spirit keeping”

Hey what’s anyones thoughts on “spirit keeping “. I use to do it when I was younger and I still have the vessels but I honestly haven’t spoken to “ my “ spirits in awhile . Sometimes I felt like it was crap and then other times I really believed . Couldn’t tell you what I think now …has anyone bought spirit vessels from online sites ? Thoughts ? I did have a few experiences…

** JUST TO CLARIFY I do believe in spirit vessels like in general just not sure about these shops on like eBay … I just want to hear opinions on these types of sites **

We can give our opinions and experience on the practice of spirit keeping, but unfortunately, we cannot comment on the specific sites you linked because this forum is not a review site, so we can only speak generally.

Yeah I know I was just giving examples . I mean spirit keeping in general.
I suck at wording things :woman_shrugging:t2:

I would advise against it in general. I got scammed hard from multiple sellers. Probably about $500 worth. I was much younger and honestly desperate at the time, spent tons of wasted energy trying to connect and talk to a $10 trinket sold for $70. No energy whatsoever, I feel more energy from a $5 amethyst shard than any of that bullshit. I’m sure there are legitimate ones but I’d never trust any of them again personally. The one spirit companion I’ve ever felt I paid nothing for, I just simply made a request.

Yeah that’s how I feel to be honest . I spent hundreds probably even thousands on spirit friends . I was like 15-16 . I just wanted to see if other people have had genuine experiences because I have all these freaking vessels and I don’t really know what to do with them. I once had a hellhound vessel and my mom would see shadows and I saw him in a dream as a huge black wolf sitting with me in my backyard but that could’ve been me drawing in spirits around me … I was really young . So I am conflicted as heck . I won’t be buying any more “vessels “ though .

My best friend does this and the spirits I’ve met through him are great. Actually, I even dated on of them. I think it’s wonderful but it does seem to drain him a lot which sucks.

Lucifer and Hecate can both grant real hellhounds without monetary payment. Just a suggestion if you’re interested in one.

he has to borrow energy from the spirits to keep going so trade offs.

I have had an antique kris talk to me audibly, so I know items can house spirits. Hell, I have made housings myself. However I find myself sceptical of sites claiming to sell spirits or items containing them

Binding spirits to objects has a long magical tradition and has been done probably since forever. Some ancient Japanese swordsmiths were known to bind spirits to the swords they forged and those blades were very sought after.

I don’t know about sites that claim to sell spirit vessels, as I don’t think it is as easy as some people may think, but true spirit objects can be found in the unlikeliest places. Glenn Morris, the author of the book “Path Notes of An American Ninja Master”, was able to see and hear spirits after going through the kundalini, and ended up finding a possessed katana at a garage sale. It cut him when he tried to clean it, until he agreed to put in in a place of honour in his home.

When watching him train with the blade, the ninjitsu grandmaster remarked, “Who is wielding who? Is Morris wielding the sword, or is the sword wielding Morris?”

Yeah I do believe that there are authentic haunted vessels out in the world . I do have some but all of the ones I have are ones that I bought without knowing . That’s really amazing , I’ve never heard of him so I’ll look up the book . I do agree that it probably isn’t easy and that these are most likely a scam … pretty sure I just bought a bunch of beads . Some claimed to bind them to our body and soul so we didn’t need a vessel but idk…

The’re not completely useless…you can bind a spirit to the beads yourself

I think some spirits are bound to an object by choice, like the spirit in the blade mentioned above, and others are bound by force. Usually, if the spirit has been bound to an object by force, the object become “unlucky” for its owner and, in my opinion, that is the reason for supposedly “evil” dolls and such.

This I find highly unlikely, but I still wouldn’t give someone on the internet permission to bind something to my soul 'cause you just don’t know what you’re getting.

Yeah I would’nt even know where to start with that , If I ever have the urge I’ll do some research.
Since I’m here … do you believe in spirits like mermaids , selkies , ogres , etc ?
I do ,but you seem pretty knowledgeable and I’m curious to maybe hear your thoughts if you have the time .
I wouldn’t want to own something that contained a spirit who had been forcibly put there . Just sounds like bad luck and bad energy all around .
Also yeah …I have no idea what I was thinking allowing someone to bind spirits to my body … even if it never happened it was pretty naive .

I’m not sure if I believe in mythological beings like mermaids and selkies and the like, as I’ve never seen them nor met them in my occult travels thus far but there is anecdotal evidence for such beings in various cultures all over the world so I’m open to the possibility. In my opinion, it is quite the strange and wild multiverse we live in and the human race has barely scratched the surface of what may be lurking within it.
