Spells Using Your Own Power vs. Working with Demons

First of all, I haven’t developed my psychic senses, opened my third eye, or can’t feel energy, so I can’t really verify certain things through personal experience.

Since over a year I’ve been watching videos and reading books about magic, and honestly, I’m a bit confused about a few things.

For example, some of E.A. Koetting’s curses don’t seem to involve any external entities or forces (spirits, gods, angels, etc.). They sound pretty generic, like “burn a candle during the new moon and pray to the forces of darkness to make something happen.”

I’ve also come across claims that if you don’t believe magic will work, or don’t believe a spell involving a demon will produce results, it won’t. This makes me wonder: Is magic then (even with spirits, daemons), just a form of self-manifestation? And are demons simply a way to convince our subconscious that certain spells have more power or are more likely to work?

I’ve been working with demons for about a year, but I haven’t really seen any results. I’m a fairly skeptical person by nature, and although I’m trying to overcome that, it’s not something I can easily switch off.

Maybe part of the problem is that I’ve been focusing on love magic, which is supposedly one of the most difficult areas to get results in. I’ve also tried meditating with demons to develop my psychic senses, but that hasn’t really led anywhere either, so far.

So my question is: is there any difference between doing magic using your own power and working with demons or other entities?

There is.

So you either use your own energy to achieve a result, or ask an entity for help - then that enitty uses its energy to achieve that result, should they listen.

Effective working with demons etc. is mostly a matter of finding a technique that works for you, for communicating with them and getting across what you’d like 'em to do for you. This can be tricky, me - personally - it took some time to arrive at something that works.

But I do both kinds of magick. F. in. as far as lust magick is concerned, I’m finding that modulating your own personal energy field is an extremely powerful method if you know how to do it right, or have a ways of automating it.
