In the Book of 2nd Esdras, chap. 9 verses 23-26, we
find the Lord speaking to the Prophet, and preparing
him to recieve more of His word, concerning the
future of His people, and the events of the world in
general.
23- nevertheless, if thou wilt cease yet seven day
more, ( but thou shalt not fast in them,
24- But go into a field of flowers, where no house
is builded, and eat only the flowers of the field;
taste no flesh, drink no wine, but eat flowers nly;)
25- And pray unto the Highest continually, then I will
come and talk with thee.
26- So I went my way into the field which is called
Ardath, like as He commanded me; and there i sat
amoung the flowers and did eat of the herbs of the
field , and the meat of the same satisfied me…
So, here we have the Highest, commanding a man to
prepare himself to recieve more of His word, by a
partial fast. Though Hemp is not specifically
designated, there are few flowers, or herbs , which
would have a palatability, as well as a health and
nutrition factor, sufficient for the occasion.
On to the next point.
In 2nd Esdras chap. 14 verses 24, 37-48 we read the
following;
24- But look thou prepare thee many box trees, and
take with the Sarea, Dabria, Selemia, Ecanus, and
Asiel, these five which are ready to write swiftly;
37- So i took the five men, as he commanded me, and we
went into the field, and remained there.
38- And the next day , behold a voice called me,
saying, Esdras, open thy mouth, and drink that I give
thee to drink.
39- Then I opened my mouth, and , behold, he reached
me as a full cup, which was full as it were with
water, but the colour of it was like fire.
40- And I took it, and drank; and when I had drunk of
it, my heart uttered understanding, and wisdom, grew
in my breast, for my spirit strengthened my memory:
41- And my mouth was opened, and shut no more.
42- The Highest gave understanding unto the five men,
and they wrote the wonderful visions of the night that
were told, which they knew not: and they sat forty
days, and they wrote in the day, and at night they ate
bread.
43- As for me, I spake in the day, and held not my
tongue by night.
44-In forty days they wrote 200 and 4 books.
45- And it came to pass, when the forty days were
fulfilled, that the Highest spake saying; The first
that thou hast written publish openly, that the worthy
and the unworthy may read it:
46- But the 70 last, that thou mayest deliver them
only to such as be wise amoung the people:
47- For in them is the spring of understanding, the
fountain of wisdom, and the stream of knowledge.
48- And I did so.
Here again, we have The Highest encouraging a man who
has not only been partaking of the “flowering herb”
for 3 days, but now has been administered a drink
“the color of fire”. Also, it seems very appearant
the other 5 men also followed the same pattern. The
product was 204 books of prophecy. Which 70 went to
people of similar charachet as themselves, ie, wise
and partaking in their lives of the same diet to make
them wise. We unfortunately only have 2 small
excerpts from these marvelous books.
Now as the author Barbara Thering has pointed out,
very often the recordings of these events are not only
dealing of a man and Diety, but, are actual
recordings of dramas being played out amoung men and
their High Priest… The Highest.
Though again, we have no specific referance to Hemp as
the source of the liquid the colour of fire, it is an
histrorical fact that the Kaneh Bosm plant was used by
the Priesly caste, in there clothing, food, and
Sacred Annointing oil. Cannabis oil is generally from
my experiance, yellow… like fire, and has somewhat
of a bite to it, a slight stinging, like fire. It
is reasonable to expect them to use a product which
would be culturally accepted by them, and to add
social legitimacy to their prophetic experiance, the
use of the Kaneh Bosm oil, as an internal
‘Annointing’
would have done just that.
As Jesus, was trying to explain, the Divinity within
each human, and just what will make a person Holy or
Not, he made the statement, and i am paraphrasing,
“it is not what you take into your mouth which will
defile you… but what comes out of it…”. Jesus,
and His Father/G-d. were not, gaining wisdom and
intelligence along the way. They, from day one of
this earth, had all the intelligence there is to
have,
and very early could have made specific profibitions
against eating or partaking of particular substances.
As seen in the Law of Moses, which came thousands of
years after His project started, these descriptions
can get very detailed and specific, and in all these
things, we find no prohibitions of the Kaneh Bosm
plant, for use of any kind, or any other plant of
hallucinitory value for that matter. In fact, we
have specific, clear and undeniable Endorsement of the
use of the Kaneh Bosm plant, and all the herbs,
“of which thou mayest freely eat” “for you they shall
be meat”.
