So, due to my current stressful situation, my brain has been going 200mph+ for weeks, its hard to get fully relaxed and focus on what im doing in the spiritual realm and when i preform ritual, any suggestions on what to do?
Youâve been on here a while now, what do YOU think would be the best way to find answers?
Iâm not being mean but you keep hitting us with literal newbie stuff, the point of education is that itâs escalating, you learn the foundation principle of something, then can apply it elsewhere. So, try doing a search on here, try the methods or whatever, then come back with Level 2 questions?
Having a good spirit mentor you can trust is the key to beginning to put all the seperate bits of your experiences, and needs, into a cohesive âBig Pictureâ!
Well said i guess ive been slacking
Belief in your own problem-solving abilities, based on repeat use and honing of these abilities, is probably the biggest determining factor in the quality of your life, the power of your magick, and your ability to adapt to, and command, the world around you.
Past a certain point, letting other people steer you or give you options will make you weak, subconsciously program you to accept authoritative words from others while silencing your own inner knowing, and thatâs a disaster for a magician, especially.
Listening to water flowing is a good way to relax the mind or you can put on music thats very suthing to help your mind nox arcana is a good gothic orkistra band that i use in meditation sometime.
I would also suggest a good cleanse of your spiritual energy always prior. We may know the answers to performing a useful meditation, but if there is a lot of conflicting (positive and negative, dark or light ect.) energies around you, or in you, knowing the answers still may not work. You need to balance yourself in order to get constructive results from meditation.
I would try to use some meditation music while meditation on Thoughtlessness and nothingness. Also, you can try to hang out in places where there is silence. If I just sit and relax (I donât even have to close my eyes for this) and focus on the silence, my senses automatically attuens to the silence around me, which creates an inner silence also. So I can sometimes just sit there comfy in a sofa or so for hours, sometimes almost whole days, and immerse myself in silence. This has also thought me to connect with this inner silence while doing mundane things like working, reading or stuff like that. It is very useful and keeps my mind clear. Also, basic yogic practices enhances this inner silence. Itâs like a vague mental tinnitus that eradicates all small disruptions and sends you into the liberty of Thoughtlessness. Sorry I babble too much. Just try to be around silence as much as possible, and your senses should attune to it soon enough. Hope this helps.
Iâm not good at meditation and calming too,
I often monkey-brain chat throughout my entire 15min meditation.
Everyone, everything suggested me to meditate, but
I never made it into my practice.
Below were my excuses:
Iâm ADHD. I can never focus.
I have so much to worry about, so much things I need to do,
that I wonât be able to just clear everything.
Then I came to read a book, in there
Jason Miller said something like,
People say âI canât focus so I canât meditate!â But guess
what, YOU ARE MEDITATING!
That gave me a good wake up call.
Thence I decided to do it anyway⌠daily. And I think
I started to like meditation.
For me itâs very hard to relax.
Often I donât even realize I wasnât relaxed.
For Soul Travel course, itâs hard for me to do even 5 min of "River."
Iâm like, thinking of something but River for 4min 30sec
and visualizing the river for 30 sec.
For that, exercise along with EAâs video helped to relax a lot.
Made me realize meditation is after all a exercise of flesh like yoga.
I remember what I was told by a yoga instructor long time ago,
âWhen your body is not in good condition and get pain,
and canât be flexible at all, thatâs okay, just do it easy on yourself.
Because yoga is to know what your body is like right now.
So you donât have to be always be in great condition.
Itâs a conversation with your bodyâ
So⌠as a bringer of scattered mind I can relate⌠it can be hard
especially if wanting a quick perfection.
I hope we will keep up trying however the performance
Iâm certain we will get it sometime, and it could be soon
I also second vonPfaff for aligning the energy of the place.
I could finally make meditation into my practice for the first time
when I started to do cleansing and offering daily.

Siberian shamans, I am told, run and dance on the spot during their deepest trance healing work - maybe some kind of ecstatic trance dance would help?
Or just get a shamanic drumming track (plentiful on YouTube) and tap fingers, hands, feet, along to it.
Feeling inadequate because of something that does not come naturally defies MY concept of magick, which - yes - requires applied thought and self-discipline, work, BUT not going against the very core nature of who and what you are. JMO!
If you gotta move - MOVE!
