Seeking insights on Demons that grant familiars

Hello everyone,

I’m currently researching demons known for granting familiars and would love to learn from your experiences and knowledge. Based on my studies of the Ars Goetia, I’ve identified the following demons who are reputed to provide familiars:

  1. Bael
  2. Paimon
  3. Orobas
  4. Astaroth
  5. Vepar
    6.Forneus
    7.Glasya-Labolas
    8.Vassago

I’m particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has summoned familiars from these demons. Specifically:
Which demon did you call upon, and why?
What purpose did the familiar serve? (Protection, knowledge, guidance, etc.)
How did you go about the summoning process? Any specific rituals or offerings you found effective?
Were there any unexpected outcomes or challenges?

Additionally, if you could recommend any books or grimoires that delve into this subject in detail, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m looking for credible sources that provide practical guidance on working with familiars through demonolatry.

Belial is known for giving familiars as well, though it is not mentioned in the Goetia. Source: EA Koetting’s Works of Darkness and personal experience.

Thank you for your response! I appreciate the insight about Belial and the reference to E.A. Koetting’s Works of Darkness.
I’m curious to learn more, though what would be the most effective and proven way to request a familiar from one of the demons mentioned in the Ars Goetia? I’d love to hear about any specific rituals, offerings, or techniques that have yielded real results.

Most commonly the magician will simply evoke the demon and ask for one. Sometimes, however, when discussing a situation the magician needs help with, the demon might make the offer of a familiar themselves. This is what happened to me with Belial, for example.

My question is, if it’s not too personal, would you describe how it happened that Belial offered you a familiar?

My life was deep in the shit at the time and I couldn’t do my magick properly because of stress so a friend was working on my behalf and Belial stepped forward to help. He offered to send a member of his legions to stay around me and act as a familiar. I could call him simply by thinking his name and telling him what I needed.

I would recommend not to summon a familiar at starting, first start developing a relationship with a demon which can give you familiar, because you can’t just go and say to somebody like HEY I WANT A FAMILIAR, SO GIVE ME ONE , this won’t be a right way to get one , I’ll say when you start developing a relationship with any demon you want , then the demon might give you a familiar for your protection, well that’s my opinion, it’s all up to you what you want to do , trust your guts … GOOD LUCK
