Hello my friends. My father passed away today and he was not a very religious man. I wanted to, as his son, hold a private black mass for my father. The thing is that I don’t know how to perform a funeral service. I am looking for points from the community at large, and appreciate any and all LaVeyan formats, as well as formats from other branches of satanism.
Please say a prayer for my father and his immortal soul, may he rest in peace.

A funeral service is basically just a way to send the departed onward to their next existence so the format isn’t really important. You could just write from your heart.
However, if you would like something to follow, you can find the text for a Satanic funeral rite in The Satanic Scriptures by Peter Gilmore.
There is also another that I yet read but I do love her oracle cards. It’s called The Devils Death and talks all about the funeral stuff and grievances.
