The Veil is Thinning!! This is for anyone stuck with what to do for Samhain. It’s a pretty easy Protection spell from your Ancestors. It is also completely customizable too. If you do, make changes to this ritual please share them below.

***Tools: ***
*A Pumpkin
*Craving tools
*Painting tools paint should be brown
*Three fall Colored candles to work by (I use rust red, orange and green)
*Tealight
***Color: ***
*Brown
***Incense: ***
*Honey Suckle
***Spell work Preparation: ***
- Gather all of your tools, this is the time to shop for the pumpkin. When choosing the pumpkin let the Ancestors lead you to the best one for their altar.
*When getting ready to do the spell clear your mind of all stress and negative thoughts and energy.
*Now cleanse your tools and space. Do this the way you would normally do when preparing for spell work.
*Now, light the incense and three fall candles. While doing so breathe in the honeysuckle. Take a moment to gather your thoughts and energy into your working.
***The Spell: ***
- Crave the pumpkin into a Jack O Lantern guided by the Ancestors
- Scoop out the seeds, wash and dry set them aside on your Altar. We will use these in the spell.
- On the opposite side of the pumpkin carve your Ancestors names or initials into the pumpkin. Speaking their names aloud as you work.
- With paint add runes, sigils or symbols on the parts of the pumpkin that have not been craved. Again, allowing the ancestors guide you.
- Dry out the pumpkin the best you can, then put the seeds back in the pumpkin saying this blessing: OH, most loved and respected Ancestors Always here, always by my side, always present in my life Bless these seeds that are inside with your love, your protection and most of all with your presence
- Place a tealight on top of the pumpkin seeds and put the pumpkin outside in a special area for the Ancestors away from all the Halloween Traffic.
- Light the candle and leave nonfood offerings around it allow the candle to burn out.
- The next day remove the seeds allowing them to dry again, and store to use to grow next year.
**You can close the ritual with the closing you use in any other spell work you do if you want to, but it is not needed for this one as it an ongoing spell. **
The goal of this ritual is to start a line of magickal pumpkins to grow and use every Halloween/ Samhain in your family for generations to come
