I’ve never had an issue with his moods, but maybe I call upon him differently than others. Make sure you have his Veve on the altar, offerings, candles, incense. Things that represent him are fine too. Purple or black, or both color cloths.

It’s best to introduce yourself outside. Samedi and La Croix at the Cemetary gate, Papa Legba at the crossroads during daylight, Maman Bridget at the oldest female gravestone, Kriminel at an unmarked grave, and Kalfu at a crossroads at night.
Papa likes red brown black and white, dogs and roosters, candy and almonds palm and dark alcohol.
Samedi likes black purple red and white. Offer him 21pepper white rum apples and peanuts.
Don’t bother the others until you’ve got a good handle on papa and samedi. Samedi and Papa are the least quick to anger or offend, but they’re still tricksters so they’ll mess with you until you’re comfortable and confident with them. Baron may rearrange your life by cutting out all things he finds unnecessary and challenging you to take a risk at something new. Be prepared for that. It’s not subtle
