Over the years, there have been many different representations of different demons/spirits in popular media, specifically horror (as expected) Mephistopheles, Pazuzu, you name it..
But I wonder most about King Paimon, because I have been thinking about the way he was portrayed in Hereditary, and how that scared the shit out of me when I first watched the movie. I wonder, are demons amused at these portrayals of them? How do they feel?
This question has been asked ad nauseum here and there are multiple threads already about it. The short version is, they don’t really care. Only humans worry about how their imaginary friends are portrayed in media.
I think they just see it as “hey more people get to recognise me and if they come to me great” as opposed to “how dare they portray me like that!”
Kinda like with vivziepops helluva boss and hazbin hotel universe. Are they portrayed like they usually should be? No but do they care? Also no.
