Recovery of Dissolved Spirits

I’ve heard a number of people, mostly RHP adherents and the like, claim that after death a lot of people’s spirits are dissolved/resorbed by the etheric world/the Source/whatever you call that all-permeating oneness.

In theory, is it possible to either temporarily or permanently recover or otherwise extract forcibly an individual’s ego - their individualized self - from this Source? As in, can the ‘resorption’ be undone by esoteric means?

Possibly however, that’s it that belief is true or not. The way I see it source doesn’t exist on its own anymore but rather as all of creation.
