The one story I remember about Raputin was that he’d been taking poison in low levels to survive poisoning, and I think when they shot him several times and threw him in the river it was because the poison wasn’t working as intended. Those are the risks of living in a royal court though, especially when you’re the court mystic and have a reputation to live up to.
