- How long do the clearing and protective powers of the LBRP last?
- Would you recommend doing the LBRP before evoking/invoking demons, or should we just do it after the demon has been issued the license to depart?
- Do we absolutely have to do it before performing the Middle Pillar?
1: According to the papers of the Heremtic Order of the Golden Dawn, the protection of the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram is supposed to last from sunrise to sunset or roughly twelve hours (it was usually given to neophytes to perform twice daily, upon awakening and again before sleep).
2: In Golden Dawn style rituals, the LBRP is done both before and after any magical operation.
3: No. Nothing has to absolutely be done in a particular order. However, it just makes the most sense to do it first because it clears the area so you can invoke the energies of the Middle Pillar without interference. Think of it like doing a warm up in the gym before hitting the heavy weights. It prepares you.
