hello i am kind of really noob in the magical practices and just today i venture to start trying reading the taro but i have a question the answers to my questions seems really complex ( may be because i am a noob i know ) but my question is in my cowntry almost all the people use the 3 card spread seems easier than the celtic cross what do you guys think i should stick with the croos until i get more exp or should i try the 3 card spread so dominant in my cowntry and also is this particular spread less efective ?
Honestly, you can use whatever spread you feel comfortable reading. I don’t use the bigger spreads because I don’t have them memorized. I use a one-rune draw most often, and a two- or three-rune draw when i need more detailed information. All you have to remember is the reason behind each position in the spread, which you can make up as you go
Well morty take some advice from rick lol jk theres alot of spreads dude i personally feel the less cards you use the more adept you are
since i am still reading each spread seems more clear with the 3 card maybe ill stick to it until i feel the need for a more advance spread thanks for the advice
that doesn sound like a good read where you reading how its going to work the divination for me ?
Taro cards represent energies, even the Court cards – Energies. The collection of energies influence each other.
I use the inverted pentagram or the seven card Tree of Wyrd spread.
Best way to destroy your ability with Taro cards is to memorise what someone else said that the cards mean. Your divinations are trying to communicate to you, not with what someone else thinks. Sure use books, Alfred Douglas’ The Tarot is very good, but don’t get stuck on what other people think.
If you ask party time questions you’ll get party time answers. If your question could be interpreted different ways than the answer will be next to useless. Take time working out your questions so that these are in the shortest, clearest form. And always treat Taro readings as a big joke – so don’t ever record your readings in a Magical Journal because doing so will only make you better.
Also, the same Taro reading will be interpreted differently by a dirty boots soldier, a General or a whore who follows around the troop movements. Same spread, different interpretations. I always ask as a King seeking counsel and I don’t do other people’s readings, because I’ve found that it isn’t worth the effort.
Also, Taro readings aren’t the future set in stone as you can use the information to alter circumstances and therefore outcomes. Ditto the I Ching, which is less spiritual and generally has a shorter time frame.

thanks for the advice i am not looking for readings of others for the moment i just started with a deck so by your advice is more important what i think the cards say than what the meaning in the little book they come with right ?
The little book is shit! All little Taro books that come with decks just are.
Al.
ill keep that in mind
Have you tried runes i have some made of moonstone they work well
i am just starting in all this i am trying to learn to meditate and read cards first
