Question about reinforcing shields (and wards)

How do you guys reinforce your shields and wards? Do you recreate them from scratch or is simply thinking about them every once in a while enough to recharge them?

Also, if I were to program a shield/ward with a certain intent (e.g., invisibility), do I have to recite the intention again? (I use words, like “make me invisible to all enemies”).

I think remembering the intent and knowing it’s there enough to reinforce it but asking just to be sure.

@Zenlir You would probably re infuse them with more energy by creating a ritual to add to them. Also while thinking is a good start its better to speak it into existence. So create a ritual to add the new intention and strength to shield or ward.

Thanks, I’ll try creating a ritual. Though I prefer my divine inner voice over my raspy physical voice, it just feels more powerful to me.

@Zenlir You just need a bit of confidence lol. Infuse that inner divine voice into the cute raspy one too lol

I revisualize my shields and wards being refreshed and activated every time I do a deep, lengthy meditation as part of my induction process. This is a simple and quick visualization unless I’m actively doing maintenance on them, just as a reminder that they’re there. Every full and new moon I write a ritual journal entry, which is a sort of sigil for me and is a significant part of my practice, and I restore my shields and wards there, to refresh them with new energy. If I’m doing full maintenance on them, I go through the full visualization of the intention process. I write and visualize things into being, I have never spoken aloud as part of my shield creation process. The only verbalizing I’ve done is humming to get its resonance frequency to vibrate through me.

Anyway, I maintain my shields with the written intention every full/new moon, visualize them being recharged by ambient energy at least once a week and do full restorative maintenance a couple times a year. I prefer to have an active hand in my shield maintenance, but maybe I could create a servitor to do it for me.

It’s not highly ritualized. I just see it and tell it what to do and it is.
