Poison gods or goddesses

I’ll post to this later since I work the poison path and have a ton of references. The short answer is yes. Many poison plants are associated with gods, goddesses, demons, etc. I’ve worked out my own creations for this purpose.

Serkhet rules over Scorpions and Serpents and she is said to use venom on the wicked as well as heal from bites from poisoness animals.

Any Serpent deities really. The Nagas are good but be careful as not all are human friendly

Belladonna is also called the devils cherries, datura is the devils weed as well. Most have associations more with underworld type deities and the devil.

Interesting. I have been doing some research and a goddess that seems to want to work with me is proserpina. Roman goddess. Queen of underworld.

Persephone is another one. I think she’s associated with henbane. I’ll have to double check. You might like the work Kathryn Solie of Persephone’s Path does. She has online classes and sells flower essences.

What deities do you work with? If you dont mind me asking.

Since you mentioned Greek and Roman gods and goddesses… just a quick scan from the two books I mentioned. I have a bunch more.

Belladonna - hecate
Datura - hecate
Henbane - pythia, the sibyl, oracle of the Delphi, hecate (white/yellow) Apollo,
Mandrake - heuresis goddess of discovery, Aphrodite, Hecate
Opium poppy - Demeter

I work with Lilith, Astarte, Hecate, and the demonic gatekeepers right now mostly.

Awesome. That sounds cool. I think I will mainly stick to the roman pantheon. But thank you for your wisdom

They have similar correspondences between the Greek pantheon and the Roman as well. I’ll see what else I stumble upon. I have a gigantic encyclopedia of psychoactive herbs, but that thing is huge.

very interesting. I have just started reading about the poison path. I have felt connected to poisons for a few months ago. I actually stumbled across achlys. Goddess of misery and possibly poisons.
