Pazuzu

I heard a member of this forum mention the demon Pazuzu.

Can anyone recommend good sites to find more information about him? I would love to learn more about Pazuzu.

Thank you all for your help ahead of time.

And Baal Kadmon has a book out called Pazuzu Rising which gears more with his own rituals with Pazuzu.

I’ve heard he’s completely evil. And, to not work with him.

What is your take on that?

Absolutely not the case. The concept of spirits being completely good or evil is very modern in the scope of human history (The Exorcist did not help Pazuzu’s case) and, while it looks neat on paper, rarely plays out that way in reality. In the time period that he was worshipped, Pazuzu not only was credited for bringing destruction through famine, he was also known for preventing that same destruction as well as protecting women and children from his wife, who brought disease. I’ve called upon him both in need for destroying an enemy and to protect my own family. He has never once gave even a hint of turning against me. That being said, he is wild and, like many spirits, a different sense of morality than we do so putting some restrictions is a good idea if that is a concern.

I personally prefer to say the name, watch the sigil of a Dark God and see what he chooses to show me. If needed than use more methods of divination. My experience with Pazuzu was enjoying, easy going and friendly.

Vk jehannum wrote an article on him recently.

Pazuzu is not maleficent. What he is though is complex. He can bring havoc and frenzy when summoned for that particular cause, but I have used him for more kindly needs and he has been very protective and benign in that regard. Out of all my years I’ve practiced the occult, he is my absolute favorite spirit to work with. That certainly says a lot.

In my experience one thing to be aware of is him and Lilith do not get along, although strangely from what I’ve read wearing a talisman in his honor protects someone against the lamashtu but not on the queen of sitra ahra herself so theoretically it would a good screening for imposter spirits that take her name but if it turns out that its the lagitimate Lilith than you risk angering her.

I think I would probably recommend doing is research. Lots and lots of it. I love reading about the history of spirit worship and found that it has helped me communicate better with them. People on here say there’s not a lot of info online about him. That’s actually not completely true! If you simply type his name into google, you’ll probably get the same redundant results. What you should do instead is go onto JSTOR.com, create an account, type in the name Pazuzu, then read the articles written about him. Now I know about his origins, history, old incantations, symbolism, temperament, and so much more! Fascinating things you won’t find from a simple google search.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Mythology.net, has quite a bit of information regarding Pazuzu. Apparently, he was of the Annunaki, Sumerian god originally. I am interested in more info on this demon or god, as I recently purchased a handmade sculpture of Pazuzu. It’s ironic that I put the statue in my livingroom, already had gargoyles and dragons, and it fits right in lol. But read that, I’m not sure I would call on Pazuzu, but it is a good article.

Pazuzu isn’t a demon he’s a Demonic God. Being a demon and being demonic aren’t the same. Pazuzu ruled over his demons and in Sumer demons were seen as messengers to carry out punishments by order of the Gods, one being Pazuzu.
