So I’ve been scrying and divining into a past life of mine and I had a synchronicity involving that particular incarnation being a sorcerer. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about past life magick? Such as bringing the old skills of the past incarnation to the current one to empower already present skills and foster new ones that are useful? What other applications are there?

Hiya OP! To return old skills, access the memories of your previous self doing it multiple times, and pay attention to how the old you did it. Since those selves are discrete intelligences, you could summon them up and get the info straight from them!

Everyone assumes there’s just paternal and maternal ancestors, but, we have our own ancestors of our previous iterations and we are the ancestors of our future selves. It gets complicated!

Stating for personal reference. Go onto a shamanic journey or regression as @AdamThoth said, then draw them here and summon them, then assimilate that experience with them and copy their techniques per the idea of @Qayos.
I might take that a step further and embody that energy too, but in such a way, that it supports and creates a stronger foundation for the current and future me.

It would be like an invocation of yourself into their mind and you can copy all that you need to into your consciousness. You won’t be able to alter anything, I don’t think but @Qayos said you can be an observer and see what is going through their minds before,during, and after the ritual.

There’s no real such thing as “past life magick” you just meditate on your past lives, if you find a skill observe how your past life self learned it and apply it to this life. It’s not a type of magick and shouldn’t really be treated as such. It’s literally just observing your past lives and learning from them. It’s not really summoning your past selves, I find that kind of just asking to create thoughtforms of yourself with that kind of thinking, all that information is already present in your “soul landscape”

Everything’s a thoughtform. It’s as if that term is supposed to be derogatory nowadays. I don’t care what kind of tree the paper comes from so long as I get the paper. If I get the results, it doesn’t matter where it comes from. If I want a dollar bill and I find one on the ground, the last thing I’ll consider is where it came from. If it works, it works.
Regardless, it’s of varying opinion, which isn’t what I’m trying to get. I’m looking for methods. Cheers.

Everything isn’t a thoughtform but no it’s not derogatory but there’s a large difference in such. As for the subjectivity or calling every action into a form of magick sure it’s subjective but searching through your past lives to learn something isn’t a magick unless now we’re turning everything into a form of magick now.
Recovering memories of your past life and learning the skills that come with it is what past life regression is, which is a method of meditation.
I will be proceeding as planned regardless of opinion. Whoops.
