So here is the short version of what’s been happening here. In our home many occur things have taken a place since we have moved here and before I even did any witchcraft stuff. And here is the ‘story’ of our bathroom door locking itself.
So our bathroom door has been locking by itself three times. Every time has two things in common 1. Our baby boy (now 1yo) has had a big day 2. There has always been quests in our home that time.
So first time was the last summer. Our son had a Naming party and of course we had siblings here in our home. All of the sudden the bathroom was locked. I thought someone was there but it stayed locked… So I realized by counting down the quests that no one was there. We even had to call the handy man to change our lock because we couldn’t get it open!
The second time was when our son had his first birthday. The odd thing was that the night before the thought ‘the door will lock by itself again’ came in my mind. And surprise surprise in our party the door was locked. My husband thankfully got the door open with some tools.
And the last and third time was couple days ago. Our son had his first day at the day care (which is a big deal at least for our family). And again we had people over. The door got locked again. And this time it doesn’t feel like a coincidence.
No worries. I don’t even have a house at the moment. My kid and I are crammed in at my grandma/ mom’s house. Let me wake up and see what I can feel. But there is definitely someone that doesn’t like larger crowds. The behavior seems very teenager/ pre teen to me.
Did u look into the history of the house before you moved in? Or has some one close to you die at all I agree with one of the other comments seems as though they don’t like large crowds try bringing ppl over for a get together and see what happens if it locks again on it’s own…then u need to communicate with said spirit to see
Could be an intelligent entity. If it’s “hiding weight”, locking the bathroom door, and seems to be triggered by a lot of activity in the house, my best guess would be the spirit of a troubled young person.
Have you researched the history of your house at all? I had some really weird activity in my old apartment, and it turned out the original tenant had died on the property and both of her teenage daughters died elsewhere, within a few months.
We rent this apartment. It was built somewhere in 80s. I don’t know how many people have rented this before us. I only know that the last people who lived here had to move out because their dog didn’t adapt here. The owners are normal, nice, little older couple.
I keep getting “teenager/young woman with eating disorder” very strongly. This sort of thing normally only happens when I’m actually IN a haunted space. (I knew my old apartment was haunted before I even moved in.)
If the door locking coincided with the toilet lid moving on its own, it’s possible your spirit was suffering from bulimia (which can cause heart attacks) while they were alive. No one with an eating disorder wants someone walking in on them while they’re purging.
Perhaps your landlords remember previous tenants. Maybe someone who lived there dieted constantly, wore baggy clothes, or didn’t like their looks.
Other stuff has been happening here before. But it also has got to do with that fact that here was an other entity in our bedroom. The entity was here since we moved in.
My friend and I did the ritual to get rid of that entity and it left afterwards. That was btw the ritual that led me to this witchcraft path. That entity was scary, creeping me when I tried to sleep. One time I even saw it, black figure.
Doors kept moving by themselves (sorry my English, don’t know how to explain) and kept noise. One of those doors was our bathroom door. I kept waking up because of that noise. Also our TV acted strange all the time.
One time one of our guests said he saw a creepy man in our TV. But the funny part was that it wasn’t from that show which was on TV. It was an odd red black man with weird eyes and he had feathers with him.
One time I woke up when someone knocked our door at 3am but there was no one.
Coworker of mine had this sort of phenomena. The spirits ended up being children, at least thats how they appeared and behaved.
We ended up letting the spirits stay. We simply had a sit down and explained that the spirits were in someone elses home and if they didnt respect the homes belongings then a banishing would be in order. The coworkers kids claim the spirits to be their friends and I couldnt sense any ill intent. Over time the spirits were less pesky and more friendly.
If you havent tried speaking to the spirit, id start there. Some spirits are very humanlike(in a living human sense) and will hide, prank, or help just because you need it. If he or she is locking the door only when there are triggers like a crowd or excitement. Then the spirit is simply making it clear that he or she believes they are within reason to claim the bathroom as their private area. Spirits like having their own space, human spirits often camp out in unused rooms. They literally claim the room just like you or I would if we moved into a new house.
If you wanna be the nice witch. Set up a space dedicated to the spirit and quarantined from people outside of yourself. Invite the spirit into this space and live with it, some new age groups call this spirit keeping, or you can just ask it to leave. Maybe set up a small offering in the cemtery or the forest. Thats how I got rid of my angry spirit awhile back. I posted about it a few times, should be in my topics somewhere.
My experience was this,
Poltergheisting similar to what youre experiencing. One night I went to project and I saw the spirit pissed and screaming, she appeared as a younger girl. So I reflected and determined she was upset I was ignoring her as I had communicated with her through different mediates and after promising to come back and talk, I never did. I apologized and made her a small shrine at the cemetary I believe her to be buried in. After that the poltergheisting stopped.
The entity doesn’t seem dangerous and has different feeling to it than the entity which was in the bedroom. What you are saying would make sense.
Yesterday I realized or my witch friend realized that the door was on locked position while the door was open! And I didn’t leave it like that. Then I realized that it has been in that position countless times when we have had guests here. But I always ignored it since I thought someone of the guests left it like that. But why would they? If they left the bathroom they had to left the lock on open position that they could get out…
I had things like that happen too - furniture moving, things disappearing and reappearing in other rooms, the microwave somehow unplugged itself, shadow people, one of the ghosts letting herself in the front door, greeting the cat, and lying on my roommate’s squeaky futon hours before my roommate came home (more than once), and the cat interacting with something the humans couldn’t see.
It might be a good idea to do a banishing and cleansing and send all of the spirits on their way (especially since you have a small child).
Thank you for this! I have talked to the spirit many times, always with the respect. But I feel like it doesn’t wanna leave. Maybe I’ll let the spirit stay because it hasn’t done anything bad and isn’t scary.
Sometimes I feel that the spirits come here for some reason. The bathroom spirit said to me that here are other entities too. I don’t really know. I got rid of that scary spirit with ritual but haven’t done rituals to this bathroom spirit or other… because I’m too nice .
