This a post to dismiss the absolute tongue twister of movie nonsense that gets displayed the mass majority of people about practice and summoning.
I mean I’ve literally been asked if I’ve ever sacrificed an animal… multiple times.
NO BECAUSE THAT’S ANIMAL ABUSE. Anyone even somewhat invested should understand that any good Occult or practitioner will be in tune with nature and treat it with utmost respect.
So here’s how to invoke a demon in your bedroom

Draw a Sigil of the demon you wish to connect with, it doesn’t need to perfect, and it can be with anything on any paper or surface. Pencil and some notebook paper never fails.

Here’s where some lines can blur depending on the practice, I’m going to use a summoning enn in this case (a phrase that helps you connect with a certain spirit) but NOT ALL SPIRITS HAVE ENNS. In this case, just focus your energy into the sigil, and make sure you look at it and not through it.

On your knees as if you were praying, look into the sigil, and recite the summoning enn of the spirit. As you do this, let your body attune to its surroundings and take in the energy you’re invoking.

Once you feel a general shift of energy in the room, or any drastic change in emotions, assume you have successfully made contact, and call upon the spirit by name modestly and great reverence.

From here, tell the spirit you give it your utmost and greatest gratitude for helping you with XYZ as if it has already happened. Think about it like “Hey this guy/girl is praising me for this doing, I’m going to make it happen”. Something that helps me personally is continually reciting the enn in a poetic fashion while also giving my gratitude for XYZ. It helps me keep focus and concentration in the ritual.

After you feel you have made your point (let your intuition guide you), grant a license to depart and clean up your ritual space.
For beginners:
It is incredibly important to banish before and after a ritual. This will keep your space spiritually clean and promote a more successful ritual. Here is a banishing most here on the forum use:

Do your best with the pronunciations, they do not need to be perfect, the energy you put into it is more important than your linguistic abilities.
Regarding the space you work in:
You can prepare your space no more than a dusty floor in an abandoned building, but here is what I simply recommend:
Sweep up your floor.
Have a banishing written down nearby at all times.
You can sit on a mat or your floor, it does not matter to anyone else but you.
You can wear whatever you like, but I do suggest incorporating a hoodie of some type in your wear.
Doors and windows should be closed, and your lights should be off. A flashlight if you’re reading off of paper is perfectly fine.
I also personally like to carry some candles with me, spirits will appreciate the smells that emit from them, but it is never a “If you don’t have candles I’m not doing anything for you” situation. You will get some sort of result regardless, think of it as an extra step.
A license to depart is like a simple goodbye to a spirit. They can be anything, short or long.
Mine is this:
“I thank you dearly for your presence, may nothing unforeseen or unwanted occur thereof, you may depart.”
So to conclude:
- Banish
- Focus you energy into the sigil
- Recite the enn of the spirit (if one exists)
- Continue this until you feel a change in the room
- Thank the spirit for their respective purpose
- Grant a license to depart
- Clean up your space
- Banish
Remember, your greatest tool is Gratitude and Intention.
A pretty candle nor expensive robes will ever replace these as your greatest innate ability.
The best thing you could ever offer a spirit is your gratitude.
Intention is everything.
