Nightside's Journal

Okay, lets see if I understand the Pentagram well enough.
The pentagram is composed of five right triangles, one apex at a top or bottom and two in the opposite direction. Inside is an right side up or upside down pentagon.
Inside the pentagon is where the finger is poked and or a symbol is constructed, such as a Kerubic astrology sign at a specific quarter, where in each quarter the same pentagram is drawn the same way as the preceding to the last one, but a different god name or divine name is vibrated while a finger or dagger point is poked through, and/or a symbol is drawn with the finger or dagger tip.
Each right triangle represents a different element. In a pentagram with the apex at the top, and two pints touching the floor, the apex is Spirit, the upper right is Water, the lower right is Fire, the lower left is Earth, and the upper left is Air.
To invoke a specific element, you start at the opposite point and draw the pentagram toward the desired element, To invoke Air for example, you would draw upper right to upper left and complete the pentagram.
The first pentagram taught to students should be invoking Spirit, but is banishing Earth/Saturn. In this pentagram, you take your left index finger with the other fingers curled in, and pointing with the finger tip, draw a straight line from lower left hip to center top, then down to lower right, then to upper left, then to upper right, then back to lower left completing the pentagram. All points should connect, and the pentagram drawn your size and projected outward with the sign of the enterer at each quarter, then a sign of silence, then the arm and finger back up. The arm and finger should always be raised, even in the sign of the Enterer, with the momentary exception of the sign of silence.
Speaking of completion, the circle must always be completed. The LRP/LBRP is started in the east, each quarter is two steps to the right, and after the final quarter in the North, two more steps should be taken to have you standing East again, where the second part is started, the conjuring of the Archangels. After the four angels are called, you state around me flames the pentagram, and within me shines the six rayed star.
Speaking of a six rayed star, the Cabalistic Cross can also be thought of as the Prayer of David (! Chron 10:11-12), or the Lords Prayer (Mt 6:13 - thou art the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory for all time, amen).
The pentagram can be drawn in a particular color, some say only white, some say only blue. I say, and in the spirit of the middle pillar of parts of the soul or the rising on the planes, or the rite of elemental equilibriation, at each quarter I see the flaming pentagram, I see the color of the robes of the archangel, I see simply fire. However, I would rather see the elemental glyph in its primary color for that quarter, the color of the element being invoked the same at all four quarters, and a different grade sign, god name vibrated with symbol in pentagon and the colored glyph inside the self at each quarter.

Kaballah

Good God is Westcott/Mathers dry reading on Kaballah. I thought Fortunes Mystical Qabalah was dry, but good lord.
Esau is Edom … and Ive seen a few of these names elsewhere …
The Zohar says :–If these books of the Torah contain only the tales of, and the words of Esau, Hagar, Laban and Balaam, why are they called–The Perfect Law, The Law of Truth, The True Witness of God?–there must be a hidden meaning. “Woe be to the man who says that The Law (Torah) contains only common sayings and tales: if this were true we might even in our time compose a book of doctrine which would be more respected. No, every word has a sublime sense, and is a heavenly mystery. The Law resembles an angel: to come down on earth a spiritual angel must put on a garment to be known or understood here, so the Law must have clothed itself in a garment of words as a body for men to receive; but the wise look within the garments.”
But, where should I start? The Zohar? The Sepher books? Mathers and Westcott as well as Fortune and Case are the founders of the whole modern Kaballah craze, so I continue on.

Tarot and Gematria and Notariqon

I honestly like how Paul Foster Case, in The Invisible and True Rosicrucian Order, would write the chapters based on Gematria or Notariqon, where the keys would spell out the word.
So, playing with the major keys, spelling out words. Out of 22 keys however, there are only so many combinations, especially since the card letter can only be used once. So AB is possible as is BA, but not ABBA or ABA.
Examples:
NChSh, or MYSHCH both total to 358, as do a few other words. Messiah and the serpent? Interesting.
Shin Cheth Nun
Judgement Chariot Death
Cheth Shin Yod Mem
Chariot Judgement Hermit Hanged Man
Atoh – HAyThA – Heh Ayin Tav Aleph
Emperor Devil World Fool
AGLA — HLGA
Heh Lamed Gimel Aleph
Emperor Justice High Priestess Fool
Amen – AMN Nun Mem Aleph
Death Hanged Man Fool
QBL – Lamed Beth Qoph
Justice Magician Moon

The Universal Tableau spread out, and thinking what would be cabalistic but also a hebrew term, whether by gematria or notariqon?
Let’s see. Boy have I become rusty in this area. I do recall one day starting out sounding letters in threes or fours, alternating letters in a forward series, like AAA to ABTh. Weather got funky quick and was too tired to make note of the word. May have to try one night or day and see what unusual weather occurred. That there is a key.
So, universal Tableau is three rows of seven cards in numerical order ascending, and the fool atop key IV.
We would then start with the Fool, Aleph, A, and go to Beth, Magician, and go down across or diagonal. Try to pick out what sounds reasonable and check it against 777 or Bill Heidricks Gematria Page.
So, several combinations of three letters starting with Aelpg left Qoph, The Moon on top of the stack, to the right is the Page of Cups on top of the stack, and just to see if water would be the case, shuffled, cut, and drew the Eight of Cups (Hod of Briah, Saturn in Pisces).
The top of Deck, the Four of Pentacles (Chesed of Assiah, Luna in Capricorn).
A Man governing earth and the seas. He sits on, stands on, holds and is crowned with pentacles and a crown and robe.
A man walks away from delicately stacked rows of cups under moonlight, the man in the moon watching him.
A Knave awaits a message from a fish in his cup.
A crawfish crawls out of a pond near two baying dogs at the man in the moon that appears as the stance of the hermits face.

An interesting arrangement:
Top row Courts Cups:
Page Knight Queen King
XII VII XIII XVIII I
Ace Two Three Four Five
Six Seven Eight Nine Ten
From here it is interesting to note Qaballistic Tree of Life and path associations. What stand out are a pairing of Four and Nine as well as Five and Ten, which are less direct paths or pillar spheres. Then the question is what associations do we draw feom the first and or second rows?

Another arrangement
Top Row: Court Cards of Cups in order left to right:
Page, Knight, Queen, King.
Below this order left to right re keys:
XII. VII. XIII. XVIII. I
The third row: Ace Two Three Four Five
The fourth row: Six Seven Eight Nine Ten
Left to right or right to left are not really a point here. Cheth, Nun and Qoph are in a left to right order based on the zodiac belt.
What I do see is the top row each ranges two cards below, left and right.
Page: Mem, Cheth
The Hanged Mans enlightenment is the message passed to the Page. The Chariot is mobile thanks to the influence of the Knight, and knows and masters the tides.
Knight: Cheth, Nun
The Chariot is mobile thanks to the influence of the Knight, and knows and masters the tides. Death is mobile, and carries a banner, not a spear or cup. Neither have come to bear a message seeming positive.
Queen: Nun, Qoph
The Queen stares at her cup containing a seeming shellfish such as a crawfish or crab. She stares intently at the cup as Death stares at the pleading Hierophant. She bears a up, he bears a banner. Both have authority. The tower seen in Death is one in The Moon. The crayfish may just be the one in the Queens Cup, and her face may be the one in the moon.
King: Qoph, Beth
The King is master of all things water, and bear a Cup and Wand with an Orb. The Magician bears a Cup as one of his elemental weapons and has authority from above and within. The crayfish had authority in the water, but not on land, showing the difference between matter and spirit as pertains to water, planet and sign.
Below Mem is Ace (Kether) and Six (Tiphareth). Direct polar arrangement on a Y axis. On Pillar of Mildness.
Below Cheth is Two (Chokmah) and Seven (Netzach) - minus Chesed, direct polar arrangement on Pillar of Mercy.
Below Nun is Three (Binah) and Eight (Hod) - minus Geburah, a direct polar arrangement on Pillar of Severity.
Below Qoph is Four (Chesed) and Nine (Yesod). No direct polar arrangement, two separate pillars.
Below Beth is Five (Geburah) and Ten (Malkuth). No direct polar arrangement. Two separate Pillars.
An odd and possibly incorrect arrangement.
However, the more you look at the arrangement symbols and Qaballistic placement, the more some of it makes sense.

The Page holds his staff, looking at the new leaves, perhaps counting them. The angel looks at the trumpet he holds and the people seeking rebirth. The Page is unconcerned as is The Emperor, both seem protected, and authority comes to both via the Knight.
Knight: Heh, Teth
Both beasts are under the control of the human, a seeming contrast of war and peace under the control of the Knight.

The King Has the power and authority to make war and to transmute the Red stage to the White stage. He oversees Geburah and Malkuth as well as Chsed and Yesod.

Vahuiah is a miracle maker and a self development whiz according to two sources.

Cannot sleep and its pissing me off.
Might as well pout out my thought. Fuck competition. What should I compete with some greaser who only wants another trophy? Fuck your trophy champ. Enter baneful magic.
“some greaser” – some greasy weasel who played dirty pool to shove me out of my rightful field.
Off topic: Ad – “The Power of Bee Venom”. Hmm.

Time to review my goals, and those which can be done mostly mundanely.

Time to introspect as well.

Between the four books (Kaballah Magic and the Great Work of Self Transformation, Self Initiation into the Golden Dawn Tradition, Modern Magick and Initation int Hermetics), I now have 32 exercises to do daily. It makes me wonder if any of the previous exercises drop off.
This is for Zelator level work.

Besides the RHP reading list, I also have a few LHP: OAA, Ordo nine angels docs, Qabalah Qlippoth and Goetic Magic, Beginning Luciferian Magick. It seems to me that the major difference between the RHP and the LHP is that the RHP makes you work through arts and crafts and piecemeal lessons, while the LHP throws you directly into the work. Not saying the RHP has no merit, it truly does have many merits. However, it makes you study for four years instead of teaching practical magic right from the start. Is the LHP different, maybe maybe not. Maybe the LHP is the right path for me, I have become cold and numb, I have become loveless.

Goals

While looking through goals of time past, and how many unfulfilled, I wonder why? What small point B between C and A is unnoticed or absent? Have I put in 220% effort before evoking?
I cam across B.O.T.A. Lesson One, where it talks about magical goals and how to set and state them. I know everyone wants to petition and evoke, but sometimes we need to put the effort in and then have magick help us with the rest, if petitions and evocations be the key, then so be it, all effort, all work was put in.
So, figure out all the details and use the details first in workings, then layer everything else to lead to results of desired aims.

My Lack of a Life with the Spirits

It is a sad feeling seeing all this miraculous collection of spirit successes, yet I have none because of insecurity, save for a few Novenas and a couple petitions. But I also feel at the same time, I should be doing it all myself and asking for a reliable call sign with reliable outcomes; as well as being very specific and detailed in requests, be they innovations, prayers, evocations, petitions, etc. Only way to reap rewards is to put in the work. However, square one is still here, no Clairs. So thats a huge drawback to me. Ditto on verifications from others after a good month of workings (i.e. after this petition for Vehuiah, I will have to decide on whether or not I get alll of the work done myself).
Criminal Justice, Python and Qabalah … a good combination for any student.

Okie dokie. Slow day on the forum, and few chatting with me, so I guess I will fuck off and go study Python and Qabalah. That after coming back from th store or before going to the store, haven’t decided. I suppose the earlier the better.
Did not know that there are two Mystical Qabalah, one by Frater Achad and the other by Dion Fortune.

Qabalah … let me see if I understand it.

Once upon a time, the potter set his pots on a tree and filled each one with light, and all was perfect, except some pots had cracks in them, burst, and fell. To this were the ones that fell called evil and shells, particularly shells of the dead.
The remaining ones on the tree were ten, and had a unique arrangement, as the tree: At the top is a circle ir sphere called Kether, meaning “Crown” or “The Crown”, also “First Whirlings”. It is the closest to God that we have so far. Each sphere has its own tree, so it can get fractal in either direction. Also, each path on the tree has a Hebrew letter, from the Alphabet Story, each letter has a meaning and its own intelligence and numeric value.
There used to be one called Daath, but no longer exists.
We now have two, so instead of a diamond we have a triangle due to Daath. Kether is Saturn to some, Urnus to most, and Neptune to. few, as Daath is Pluto.
On the right we have Chokmah, seat of the Stars, with the meaning “Understanding”.
On the left we have Binah, seat of Saturn (to most), with the meaning “Wisdom”
(Daath would have been Knowledge with its angel Raziel)
Below this we have another triangle arrangement in the reverse direction.
On the right we have Gedulah, or Chesed, which means Mercy, and assigned to Jupiter.
On the left we have Geburah, which means Strength or Fear, and assigned to Mars.
Below this we have a sphere named Tiphareth, which means Beauty, and assigned to Sol.
On the right we have Netzach, which means Victory, and assigned to Venus.
On the left we have Hod, which means Splendor, and assigned to Mercury.
Below this we have Yesod, which means Foundation, and assigned to Luna.
Below the we have Malkuth, which means Kingdom, and assigned to the Cosmic Elements…
Ten spheres total.
The nightside of the tree has its own forms and forces within 11 spheres.
This nightside is called the Qlippoth, or Kingdom of Shells.
So, Hebrew letters: 22
Sephiroth: 10
Qlipha: 11
With Daath, this means one is missing, is it lost, or destroyed?
Also there are four worlds, Atziluth Fire Archetypes Wands, Briah Water Force Cups, Yetzirah Air Thought Swords, Assiah Earth Form Pentacles. In each world we have a magical process, starting in Atziluth and filtering through the others to get to Assiah.
