Well, welcome to my little first sigil journeyyy.
As far as I know, sigils aren’t used for ancient gods but i wanted to create my first sigil for Bastet, and this will be first sigil which created by me and I wanted to share this journey here.
At first, Bastet began sending me messages in my life, especially during on Belial’s path. I would came across many cats outside when i was feeling bad or in a bad situation. At certain times, these cats had increased significantly. It was like someone was helping me. Spending time with cats helped me get through these bad process. So much so that I began to think that a god was sending me a message, then at this time, i met goddess Bastet as a cat goddess during my ancient egypt research. Learning her name, however, happened unexpectedly.
Amaymon took me to an astral place, which, according to Amaymon, was a place I had created in my previous life. When I first stepped into this place, I heard a woman’s voice, and it was Bastet speaking: “Welcome to your home.” That’s how I met Bastet. Later, I learned that I had worked closely with Bastet in my previous life. That’s all I can briefly describe.
As my connection with Bastet grew stronger, I shared this idea with her, and she said it might be unnecessary, but she helped me create the sigil.
Sigil
As my connection to Amaymon and my interest in Egypt grew significantly, I began to learn Egyptian hieroglyphics. That is why I used not only symbols but also hieroglyphics for the sigil. Here is the sigil:
Translations the texts in the sigil (from above to the right) :
- bꜣstt jrt-R → Bastet is Eye of Ra (‘Eye of Ra’ is Direct genitive in Egypt Language)
- mzꜣ m šw n bꜣstt → Protection is in Bastet’s Light.
- Bstt ntrt-mjww → Bastet is goddess of cats
- Bstt ꜥḥꜣwtj.t n R → Bastet is warrior of Ra
When i start to open the sigil, it really started to open quickly in the first meditation for the sigil. I didn’t expect such a quick reaction. The next day, I worked with the sigil again at the altar I had prepared for her in my temple, accompanied by candles and incense, and I received a message from Bastet through tarot. I had my doubts because I had only just begun to develop my tarot skills, but I asked Bastet for her opinion on the sigil, and a woman’s voice inside me began to guide me: Divide the deck into three, collect from left to right, and draw the first card. The card was Queen of Pentacles…
This was my first experience creating a sigil. And starting with Bastet made me very happy…
