When I get a chance, I like performing rituals outside during the summer. Problem is mosquitoes in my area are real vicious. Major distraction and hard to focus if I’m swatting mosquitoes half the time. I refuse to use poison on myself…store bought chemicals etc. Organic sprays are not an option due to the smell not in keeping with the correct correspondences of the ritual. Most of those don’t work that good anyway.
Any ideas for creating a talisman to repel mosquitoes that don’t need rare astrological timings?
If you can can evoke check out the Book of Azazel. Ala’tahl’sta is a demon under Azazel that specialises in creating Talismans. You could always wear a hat or hood that has a face net attached. Its night and no one will notice it.
another +1 for smoke. I almost always have cannabis present during ritual, and ive noticed bugs fly into the smoke and either do a 180 and head the other way, or they fall right to the ground
You could probably custom build a netting “tent” that you can sit in as the operator, lift the side when you need to throw incense on the fire…in the Buddhist Forest Traditions of Thailand & Burma, every monk is given something similar to what I’m describing. I appreciate all the feedback. Living in a suburban neighborhood with only partial privacy limits some of the suggests that would draw too much attention to myself.

Another idea is working with energy to ward them off. I’m sure it will take some practice, but draw energy in and charge it to keep them away. Maybe try using the AH Bija mantra for this as well.
Something I found happened to me whenever I am in forest areas (especially by water- which is much how it is where I’m at) - although I haven’t been in a while, but it seemed to be stronger as I worked more with energy:
I even be with a group of people- perhaps even standing in the middle of a group, and I’d see a cloud of mosquitoes approaching- the “cloud-swarm” would fly up over all the others and then descend and surround me. It was weird- even with repellent spray stuff (sticky and still)… I always wondered why my skin &or my presence seemed to attract them so much, so they’d even avoid others. anyway- I can only imagine how I’d avoid outside in what you’r mentioning… good luck
an amulet that keeps them away (espec for those in areas where sleeping sickness/malaria or whatever from mosquito bites, or Mountain-forests around where I’ve been for “biting-flies”) and old tales seemed to reference in Middle Ages, an amulets for repelling “bed-bugs” lice and even rodents… It would be interesting if it was developed and how intense it would be to make (if using above suggestions could do the job and a talisman could be made but would take Huge energy?)
