In a cosmic creation of chaos that can’t be ordered i find it hard to believe there is any lasting protection. In fact, protection to me is akin to hoarding or coveting. Best to face the unknown head on. Be it fast or slow. Slow maybe to take the onslaught and laugh at it or quick to teach it humility. For a sect of beings that are adversarial it doesn’t seem like they covet the ever enduring battle nor pain with it or possible obliteration. And i seriously doubt a yahweh, yeshua, or whatever you want to call it can do more than bluff, deceive, wild-goode-chase, etc.
I always wondered why so much lethe water in the afterlife even in Dante and it seems like trickery to cause forgetfulness. Are you going to trust a spirit that it’ll let you drink of the waters that restore “good” memories or that it eon’t just lead you i to a pit like an alzheimer’s patient?
Funny so many gods absorb older ones spheres of influence. It still looks like human ideals of popular culture quashing the old and changing to the new. A recycling of sorts.
I’ve read frog magic is healing magic but these are from those animal spirit books of usually native design.
I only ask myself “is it worth my time to investigate?” Do i trust spirits considering those who said they used them only used them to torment, punish, and make my life miserable. And yes my ex did speak of Bael and most certainly enjoyed bleeding me on her god damned altar and offering it my blood and pain. And that was one of many. I still have her BOS/diary set and i must say it seems she went full monte 72 goetia and more.
But she offered to other beings as well. Angels, djinn, daevas, and even God (and its plethora of names). Seems she believed it was quite possible to to show the darker aspect and nature of the hebron god and bring it forth. And a lot of it ican’t read. Stupid cipher script and i don’t have the cipher. Sure ain’t theban. Color coded symbols and numbers like she was doing math. Ah well, maybe i’ll find it if i look hard enough.
Surprised she didn’t have contact poison on the pages.
