Mark Passio

Does anybody know anything about Mark Passio? On the one hand, he seems to be trying to “expose” traditional occultism’s secrecy, etc. That is very similar to what E.A. does. On the other hand, he seems to be against using magick for personal gain. But maybe I am wrong? What are one or two sentences that summarize what he is trying to accomplish beyond just exposing the conspiracy of Satanists to control the world?

Conspiracy Theories hold no value to me. Basically, no matter the Spiel, they are all just trying to grab attention and make money or some form of profit.

man if you post your opinion, at least think it through.

having conspiracy theories at your disposal is extremely important for any thinking mind to recognize dream-quality of experience of life.

the main point of all these conspiracies is to realize that none of it is truth. and i mean none of it.

everything is flawed from the beginning of changing the environment to suit men’s needs.

the WALL of experience, or the End of Matrix, or the Final Frontier is in fact the human forehead.

your head is literal end of existence. you just don’t see it that way. of course you don’t. you got one of them theories.

so, having hundreds of conspiracy theories is very beneficial for your Soul, because nothing will free your spirit more then hard realization that everyone is full of shit, all spoken things are lies and you can get close to the point of being so disassociated from mainstrem worldview or any other worldview that you fall into depression/suicide category…

only that you’re a magician so you don’t get depressed nor want to commit suicide.

I saw him once about a year ago on Infowars. His ideas are basically the same as John Todd’s, if you ever want to Google him. They both claimed to be apart of the so-called Illuminati group that’s hell-bent on world domination or hell-bent on already having it.

I would never call it exposing tradition occult beliefs. Most of the time, that is already widely published material (although not widely read). Most of it is either Llewellyn or Red Wheel Wieser. I certainly wouldn’t call it Satanic, having been a practitioner myself for 15 years now but I certainly don’t dismiss the notions entirely that a group does exist with the ideas he’s talking about.

I don’t condemn using magic for personal gain, I’m rather contrary to that idea. I do recommend being cautious about using it in that capacity too much as it can lead to spiritual wickedness but that can be done by any action outside of magical practices anyway.

It’s often assumed these days that magic for personal gain instantly means super self-centeredness, malicious and you’re just some kind of law-breaking bad ass doing B&Es in the spiritual world taking away from the poor, defenseless muggles.

Obviously that isn’t true in most cases because there’s plenty of non-magickal people who have those intentions. I don’t consider it to be truly exposing occult secrets as there’s not listing of banishments, invocations, seals, planetary orders, etc. needed to work any kind of magic. It’s basically all the crap that the Kabbalah Center puts out over there in California. Although, California would be the place to do some weird shit like that.

I don’t know his work but there are people out there making VERY convincing cases (as Bahamuthat states) for pretty much everything - all you have to do as a magician is choose which “game” to play and what level of investment you want in it.

The white light “healing game” is huge right now, you have to accept the scenario of a world of victims, being afflicted by malevolent beings and their own flawed inability to do things like “detach” and “embrace love,” or “live their truth,” and then you go round fixing them (sometimes without permission) to make them do what you want.

The Left-Hand Path game is about breaking free from various things (peg them at any level you like, from society to “archons”) and then breaking other people out is optional, the RHP game is much the same except your bad guys have horns or are bits of humanity’s ordinary animal instincts, and the goal’s usually to erase your avatar by detacing bits of it over time, instead of strengthening it.

Sometimes you get expansion packs on a game you chose, as well, or find out there’s another level, or you can shift roleplay slightly and go from healing people, to battling for the planet, and there are clans you can join with shared games, sometimes as allies, or sometimes as rivals or for an “infighting” experience.

If you just want to play solo, you can believe yourself under attack in some way, choosing a foe or making up your own, and either fight that, or go to war against a simulated “Dark Half” of yourself that wants to drag you to hell (which I suspect is a flawed level that has no exits, or at least, very few) - a lot of people enjoy that one, on a daily basis.

It’s all huge fun, but be aware - when you click on any teacher, preacher, or other source (and that includes picking up a book or attending a lecture), you’re kind of starting a demo of their game, because they’ll draw things to your attention that initiate attraction and role-play, so choose wisely, and always bear in mind these wise, wise words:

Delusions of Grandeur

I used to be into all of that pseudo-Christian conspiracy mumbo jumbo back when I was a “born again” Christian. I think EA said it perfectly in one of his blogs. That sort of world view creates a helpless victim mentality. Aside from that, don’t like the guy and the same goes for the above mentioned John Todd. Charlatans playing the Christian game and painting us occultists as evil psychopaths with absolutely no morals or empathy for our fellow humans.

Oh wow. I didn’t know he was a Christian. I thought he was just a Satanist turned Atheist or something. Shows how carefully I listened!
