Magic circles and goetic demons

Hi, I found thos wonderful forum via google when researching about the 72 goetic demons. There are a couple I would like to summon/evoke. I have the book of solomon which talks about the magic corcle and triangle for protection. However I read different things on forums and other websites that say they are offended when it is being used by the summoner and also that they find it disrespectful for the summoner to use the departing speech and that they will just leave on their own.
I would like to protect myself however, I want to show the most respect as I can to whomever I am speaking to. Would you share if you have done the circles or not? And if not,did you have another way to protect yourself? And do you do the depature talk at the end or just simply thank them and goodbye?
Thank you!

Ok so me personally in the beginning I used a circle of protection made of salt and obsidian. It was only to help me in the invoking if the demons not so much for protection. I’ve never dismissed them but I have asked them to politely depart and to return to the realm. You don’t want to be rude or abrupt with those you are seeking their help it always best to be respectful not timid but respectful

I myself have used both methods of using the triangle and circle and not.

To me there are potential safety issues to operating without the circle and triangle so as a part of my regular practice I do use them.

I find that the demons don’t take offense to this if it’s approached with the right attitude of courtesy and respect. For example your intention shouldn’t be to bind the spirit in the triangle. The triangle is a place for the spirit to be seated and manifest itself according to the dense saturnian qualities of the triangle.

The circle is your way of preventing parasites or tricksters or imposters from creating unhealthy negative energy attachments as well. It can also show a spirit that you respect it’s strength.

The biggest factor in how the Spirit reacts to you is going to be is respect I find. If you are respectful of the Spirit it will most probably be respectful of you also.

I hope this helps.

Thank you very much to you both. I am trying to do as much research as I can before I do this, as I not only want to protect myself but also show the demon I am serious and not doing it to mess about. So I want to show as much respect as I can by having the knowledge so it can respect me as well. I am new to the goetic demons. I have done other rituals previously a long time ago but since then I’ve just communicated to spirits/demons via dowsing.
I would like to envoke Glasya Labolas as I feel he can give me what I would like. If anyone has worked with him before and has any advice or feedback, that would be amazing. Thank you!

I’ve never worked with that spirit so I couldn’t give any meaningful advice. I’d recommend you do a forum search on the spirit and you can probably find alot of valuable information. Best of luck with your project.

I suggest using them at least in the beginning. If you’re a novice, opening a door you can’t control can allow anything to come through. If said demon finds it disrespectful then respectfully explain it’s not against them, its against the unknown. Demons aren’t inherently evil but some may find it fun to fuck with you if you dont know what you’re doing.

I typically o my use a triangle if I need to focus my energies for a specific reason (typically, evoking people). I don’t use a circle, but do claim my ritual space. I allow spirits into it wherever they wish to be in it, but there is no question that it is mine.

I did use a circle the first few times, but didn’t see the need for it with what I typically do with evocation.

I have used them if I’m working through a system that uses them. But I’ve not really found them to be needed, Outside of concentrating or balancing energies for a specific working. For example, if I’m evoking Abaddon’s energy into a space for some reason, then it would make sense to concentrate that within the circle, triangle, or whatever shape I’m using.

Thank you everyone for your help. I will use the circle to start with until I have started working with them for awhile.

The circle is there to magnify the power of the witch, is about becoming a god in a given space. Through that authority the evocation is successful. It only functions if the demon wants it too. The demons can deny the call of the witch.

I did lots of protection spells when evoking them for the first time, but once you’re acquaintance to them, you can be more relaxed I suppose ? Id say invoking them on regular basis is really recommended.

I understand what you’re saying. I usually evoke a spirit I haven’t worked with before simply to do a meet and greet with the spirit and ask it some questions about it’s abilities and offices and it’s personal likes and dislikes. When you are on friendly terms with a spirit theres much less of a chance of a misencounter. I agree with you. But I’m confused a little at the end of your post you said yu should invoke the spirits often.

Did you mean Evoke? I’ll assume that’s what you meant.

reading some of these responses, I think I may have got confused with invoke/evoke in my initial post. How I communicate is meditating and using my mind to have a conversation. I don’t have them appear infront of me. My apologies
