So, I want down to earth responses that arent biased on this. Ive seen this labelled as a sigil for mephistopheles and of lucifuge. Can someone explain why this is?

I had Asenath Mason’s book regarding (Goethe’s) Mephistopheles then later I found Dr. Johannes Faust’s Magia naturalis et innaturalis where MephistophIEL is mentioned. For me Mephistophiel is the only legit one. I had contact with him. It is written in the mentioned faustian book that Faust made a pact with Mephistophiel for 24 years and had to die after ten years pact.

Because their the same entity, at least according to E.A. Koetting, several others who have worked with him, myself included.
Another author whose name escapes me ATM believes a Vodoun loa (name also escapes me ATM) is another mask for him as well.

i still think they should in a few cases be viewed as different aspects entirely, maybe of the same deific source though.
