Is there any way to balance Modern Luciferianism (Michael W. Ford) and being a 218 adherent? While one works with material and spiritual self-improvement, the other is a cult of death, the complete dissolution of the ego.
I am strongly attracted to Luciferian philosophy, as I seek to ascend the Black Flame of Lucifer, balancing material and spiritual life, but I also feel an extreme attraction to the anti-cosmic tradition and all this opposition to the status quo, and I feel disconnected from myself because I still don’t know what to do.

I would assume that, if you work through a specific current, you will channel the egregore’s enegies into yourself, that is to say you will be influenced by the current, the way you see reality, you perceive etc… current218 being anti-cosmic and misanthropic I would assume that you’ll channel that into you, after all this is magick, to alter your perception and beliefs in accordance to will. I’m speaking because I’m part of another current and it has influenced my character, how I perceive, and my entire mythos… so be careful what you choose and be willing to live the reality you are generating for yourself. (take this as a mere opinion, perhaps I’m mistaken).
You can still work with Michael W ford material in parallel, why not?

Of course I understand that I should not be limited to practices in what LHP says, as it is not a stagnant and dogmatic path, however I refer to the philosophies of both philosophies that end up being divergent in some aspects although they consider Lucifer as The Black Flame of knowledge, but on the other hand I see that the 218 current does not seek absolutely anything on this earthly plane, which differs from the Luciferian vision that sees this world as an instrument for spiritual ascension.
I haven’t read Liber Falxifer yet, but an adherent told me that current 182 addresses material issues and that there is even a congruence with Luciferianism.

Yes I agree, according to my limited knowledge, current218 is life-denying and aim to banish the world into nothingness, nevertheless they promote asceticism and self-mastery. Liber azerate also promote aeonic magick and rebelion against modernity as far as I remember.
So why don’t you simply inspire yourself from both philosophies and come up with your own? take some from here and some from there and merge, while having a solid mythos and vision on what you want to achieve of course, you cannot love life and want to achieve material success , or fame, or having cars etc…while subscribing to an anti-cosmic current, which is most likelyt against materialism, corporatism, capitalism, and every isms out there.
The current I subscribe to is a witchcraft current that aims at restauring an old religion and rebelling against modernity, while I also inspire myself from another aeonic current focusing on the black sun and aeonick magick, if you are clever you can mix two currents and have positive results, psychologically and materially speaking. I am not anti-cosmic but I agree with anti-cosmic currents in let’s say 50% of their vision, just to cite an example.
You can for instance oppose the status quo but work hard materially speaking to buy lands and start farming etc… forming a tribe, teaching people the way of old, living in honor, honoring the ancestors, the land spirits etc… you can affirm life, the earth but deny the modern progressive world.

Your conception and resolution that you brought was magnificent, and we really should be open to creating our own worldview without limiting ourselves.
I really have no charm for our modern culture, because it is sick and lacks spiritual knowledge, and what’s more, the excess of things that people end up acquiring to please the ruling system is futile and fleeting.
I want to live in complete opposition to this world, but still use it as an instrument to reach the divinity that lives within me, without giving in to the behaviors of the common man.
I believe I can be a Luciferian and ascend responsibly in this earthly life, while enhancing my spiritual evolution through witchcraft or ceremonial magic. I would like to make much use of the 218 current to work for the Qliphoth for self-deification and to oppose the status quo with aeonic magic, as there is no point in opposing something if you are not doing something to change it.
