For me…I think I just prefer to let the spirits teach me who they are. We can have all the myths legends and tales about them we want…but those can’t tell the fullness of who they are!

That is probably somewhat true. But I do think a combination between your approach and research is important. Spirits have probably worn multiple masks throughout multiple cultures and multiple ages, so there might be aspects of them they might not think of revealing to you unless you ask. Lucifer is both God and the “devil.” He is a symbol of both masculine and feminine energy, light and dark, the ultimate dualistic being. He’s what exists in the heart of everyone on this planet. Lucifer is the supreme entity. He may have had masks, but these masks all tell a similar story, so are they really masks? Or just different names given to the same being, as the pre-text oral traditions throughout the world vary by nation. Lucifer has always been around. The helper, the builder, the rebel. In every story he pretty much has these 3 qualities. That’s no coincidence. I could honestly go on and on.

There are many grimoires. I don’t know which one you are referring to, but an example of a grimoire that sees Lucifer and the “King of Demons” is “Lucifer and the Hidden Demons”

I actually know that the Greeks also had a similar concept, of two deities being associated with the planet:
" EOSPHOROS (Eosphorus) and HESPEROS (Hesperus) were the gods of the star ( aster planeta ) Venus. They were originally regarded as two distinct divinities–the first, whose name means “Dawn-Bringer,” was the god of the dawn-star, while the second, “Evening,” was the star of dusk. The two star-gods were later combined."
