Here’s my view on light vs darkness and why I personally choose to completely side with darkness.
first of all I see them in a male vs female manner, light being masculine and dark being feminine. The light is cool and all but it more like a strict, judgemental father who kind of wants the best for you but he’s also really harsh when you mess up or don’t follow his rules.
Its like a torch, its good if you’re just using it to get your way around the darkness but the same torch can be used to expose you and judge you, light up the imperfections wherever it shines. I think for this reason it filters your inherent power and only grants it to you if you are aligned with its agenda.
In MY opinion it’s tyrannical in nature by default.
The darkness for me is more like a nurturing mom, who can be harsh at times to teach you important lessons (most of which is self inflicted cause we’re idiots) but in the end she’ll always give you what you want. unlike the light darkness accepts everything, it doesn’t care whether good or bad. The dark is also non dualistic in nature, the dark came before the light meaning it was one before creating the light which made things 2 (idk if that makes sense but yea) meaning it was whole already, the true source. Kali is the perfect representation of this dark nature in that she is both brutal in which she is unbiased when it comes to just and unjust destruction yet she is also extremely caring and will care for anyone who comes to her.
So for me personally “god” is a woman or feminine nature, or at the very least one thing I think we can’t deny “she” is the source of everything that has come to existence.
embrace your darkness that’s the last barrier to cross to become whole again, or you can d*ckride the light some more and follow daddies rules ig.
embrace it in a responsible manner though, like honestly just don’t be childish with magic and life in general, and don’t mess with other peoples lives for childish desires. If you’re an idiot the darks probably gonna make you go crazy because its
alot of power, raw power, unfiltered, But if you’re being an idiot about it it has its consequences.
I would like to comment on the title, being a topic of “Light versus Dark”
There is no such thing as Good and Evil, the same way there is a crumbling argument that backs up the difference between Light and Dark.
Yes an argument can be made by Male and Female, but in my opinion, the most power is achieved when you Coagulate both male and female energy.
In Coven law, it states that a coven should be made up of loving couples, while there can be single members present who find love within or in a different coven (I forgot the specifics regarding single members but they exist).
But no spirit is “Light” or “Dark” natured, if you call Lilith for her maternal care, is it dark or light? Its a “Light” action performed by a “Dark” spirit, and it just doesn’t really add up.
This sounds like you’re referencing (in my perspective) a figure like the Christian God, whom punishes anyone who doesn’t believe in him by an eternity of fire.
But again in my prior statement, this is supposed to be a dogmatic “Light” entity is it not?
I’m not attacking you for what you said at all, I just personally think that it is unwise to keep giving it the character of “Good and Bad” or “Light and Dark” when the true power is to shine when both come together which is what a lot of occult practice teaches lest it forever be fractured and never full.
Thank you for your point of view, I see no reason to feel attacked by it. I agree with your point of there’s no light and dark as I embrace non-duality but personally I also see the “dark” as being the representation for non duality, I just use these terms to make sense of the point I’m trying to make which is that at the end of the day the darkness is the true source of everything.
The reason why I use the male and female example (I’m a male btw), if you look closely the female chromosomes are actually the original, the male ones are also two X’s but one of the X’s is modified (missing a leg). If you are a person that resonates with how life’s symbolism shows the truth then maybe you’ll resonate with what I’m saying, if not that’s okay too.
The darkness isn’t just about negative things because from the darkness comes the light meaning morality is birthed from darkness in the first place. A light being can also do dark things e.g exodus 12 in the bible speaks of angels that were sent to kill all firstborn sons in egypt to force the pharoah to release the israelites.My problem is that the light only chooses to abide by morality when it benefits its agenda while framing this agenda as the absolute truth or right thing to do.
Pov : light vs dark is an overrated and dated concept…
I feel like nobody truly agree on what does light and dark objectively mean. Some people use the common good vs evil idea, other apply Jungian theories into it…
My take on this concept is basically the history of all mythologies : the light represent growth projection… While dark is about reflection, restriction, limits…
