I think it gets taken way too literally. Symbolism is not meant to be read as literal.
If she wants to get that literal tell her to chop her left hand off and see how useful that is.
We all need both in balance to be healthy. Working together. There’s no need to have to justify either.
They are both really the same thing mirrored. That’s the entire point of the tarot image, the baphomet symbol and alchemical marriage, and the principle “as above so below”. To be either alone is self-defeating. It’s no necessary to be all-in on meek, doormat salve to everyone else or asshole tyrant slaver, you know?
Give and take, back and forth, co-operation, teamwork with roles rather than hierarchy for the sake of it, these are the energies coming to the fore in the age of Aquarius.
However to get deeper into the RHP dissolution of self ideal, as opposed to the LHP individuality, THAT I think is the wrong path. It’s not what we cam to do. We came, I think, to be the bridge and have both - regain full understanding of the divine while at the SAME TIME maintaining individuality.
This imo is what ascension is about.
To “kill” the ego and disappear back into the tao is to give up, and fail as a spirit as well as just a human being.
