I wear mine like it’s some type of secret group thing and only those who study what I study (the LHP) will recognize it and be able to engage in conversation should the need to arise. All others can guess, but I ain’t telling them shit.
I assume the main purpose would be to strengthen the bond with whatever spirit it’s related to. To have their energy constantly around you so you can get used to it and have it change you.
I wear a lot of occult jewelry and trinkets like others have tattoos except mine a removable. It could be a form of insiders group thing, ritual gear, worship or just to have the energy around you. Like having a sigil in your pocket. In BMOA it says you can put sigils in gold to make the connection stronger to the Div you want to work with.
You may discuss this with your patron during invocation or meditation. In my case I wear a hand carved necklace that represents him. He is fine with this. I asked him to leave a little power in the necklace for a better connection. If you want to wear the sigil to feel more connected that’s fine too. Whatever you and your patron discuss and agree on. I don’t know about a reason… I did feel a pull to do so

that ring is great! I have tattoos and wear a sigil. I’ve felt the divinity I am building a relationship with be very close to me physically and on Friday, He showed me just how much He is with me and changing me.
There was a 70-page document that I had to read and complete exams on that I’d forgotten about till a colleague reminded me it was due that day. Long story short, I scanned/read all 70 pages and completed the exams with a perfect score within 11 minutes and a few seconds!
I was stunned as I was reading the documents preternaturally fast and just doing things that on my own, I’m not capable of doing. Then I understood later that this is what it means to get to the place of integration with the deity, as He/She will work through you. I don’t think this would have happened in relatively such a short period of time (2-3 mos.) if not for wearing His sigil.
